Im a 1984 baby and started muay thai at 20y.age, i became austrian champion in K-1 - 75Kg in 2015 and fougth some more fights that i lost on points, wich was very disapointing! Respect? Hari was an asshole that kicked downed fighters and fought regular people on the street minding their own business. Badr Hari was a great fighter, but the man didn't have an ounce of respect in him.

@LaZieGoblin I've taken a shot to the plexus, and more than one to the liver. And yeah, your body kind of forgets how to breathe. I'm not saying Badr was a monster; he had moments of kindness to other fighters, but he also soccer-kicked downed opponents, and fought random folk on the street. True story regarding Mr. Jack Dempsey. It was 1982 and i was on a field trip from western n.y. to n.y.c. for an event as a 14 yr old kid. Was the last kid in the line walking down the street when i heard a load sound to my right, when i looked up there it was the "one and only" Mr. Dempsey and he was so impressed that i immediately recognized him. The building he came out of was a pawn shop and he was there buying coins. He pulled out a beautiful 1888 silver dollar and gave it to me along with his autograph, our family home burned down in 83 so i lost the autograph but i still have the coin and it's one of my most prized possessions. Happy holiday to you and yours.

In terms of quality the editing, music and the chronology is more professional than any other professional work out there produced by a professional institution. This is literally a documentary. It's not entertainment. It's more than entertainment.

40,00 Badr sweared but at the end was a promise which he couldn't deliver, and it showed he had just a big mouth! Rico Verhoeven is a respectable and humble guy, and he deserves the respect of his community!

Where was Rico in that time? Exactly, not good enough for K1. Badr was between those big guys since he was 20.

Rico is small good fish.He was losing both matches before Badr's unhappy injuries. He was not knock down.Just a bad luck.

Really interesting how you phrase and incite & insight. 24:03 "for a moment the carnage turned into a sniper duel" . This kind of thing, even sports in general, isnt addictive to me. But, you do your best. Thanks for the video and effort man.

I loved the one that broke Badr's jaw. That was so satisfying to watch. Like Ali, it's just great to see their uppity bodies crumble

And the next fight against Graham, he beat him. That was the biggest power of Hari. He rarely lost twice against the same opponent.
