I would like all the bedrooms on the first floor and add another full bath. A nice home for a smaller family.

Not a fan of the refrigerator being in the dining room. Is there a way to access that space under the stairs for storage purposes? Love the open floor plan, laundry is fine, master is ok too, living room feels boxy, small. Upstairs bath doesn’t allow for showering and the one bedroom is a bit claustrophobic with a difficult bed for changing linens. If this is a log cabin, there should not be so much sheetrock. Wood has to stay dry and breath some. Wouldn’t have this particular home but it’s not horrible either.

A good, workable plan. The louvered closet in the laundry room would work as a pantry.. A redesign of the stairs could eliminate the angled step.

Would rather see that closet house the water heater/HVAC unit rather than a pantry (smells and humidity when doing laundry). I am assuming the other set of louvered doors near the dining room would better serve as a pantry.

Would have the closet door next to the nightstand in the upstairs bedroom open the other way. Otherwise, you will not be able to access it as it opens and will probably smack the nightstand. How do you clean that high window in the living room (visible from the landing)? The upstairs bedroom with the desk leaves no way to access both sides of the bed - for two people, somebody is climbing over somebody else! This room would be better as a home office/craft room or combined for a grand master suite.

The entire house feels claustrophobic. Perhaps it’s the furniture, the living room is small. The dining area is practically on top of the kitchen; and it looks tiny. The stove should be one piece; you’re eating valuable space putting the oven in the wall. The fridge is too “far” from the kitchen; move the opening to the laundry room and put the fridge where the door was, theres space to put a little hallway and right turn into the dining area. The first floor bedroom and bathroom is stunning; the bedroom needs more privacy, and it’s to share the bathroom with guests. Isn’t there space beneath the stairs to install a half bath? The upstairs is perfect for a bathroom dedicated to the bedroom. Make one room an office and the other a bedroom - I do love the skylight

Something about the proportions of the kitchen verses the dining is off. Why does the stovetop seem pulled forward. Shouldn’t the wall on which it is placed be flush with the dining room window? The kitchen seems tighter than it should be. I don’t prefer the room divider between the kitchen and dining room. I don’t prefer the peninsula kind of layout for this kitchen. An L shape kitchen with a small island would work better. I love the layout for the rest of the house.

The kitchen is a bump out. If you look at the floor plans at the end of the video you will see the layout of the kitchen.

Fenster in der Küche entfernen, Kühlschrank dort hin, fertig. Im unteren Schlafzimmer da viel zu viele Fenster. Kamin muss nicht mehr sein, ist total Altmodisch. Fussbodenheizung ist viel besser. AUsserdem würde ich zu einem Ziegelmassiv Haus tendieren. Holzhäuser sind Out.

Improvement proposals: Look at the proportions: Main area 2/3 cooking and eating, 1/3 living. Really? In 2024? What can be done in the current living room? Talking&Reading? As long as there isn't installed a profound Multimedia-Audio-Video-Equipment of high entertainment capacity by access to WWW - and also sufficient TVs in each sleeping room - the design is somehow 19th century and no one will really like to visit the countryside . . . .
