Awesome mashup! It's great that DCI remembers this wonderful (and innovative) drum corps. George Zingali brought so many great ideas to the drum corps field.

I would love to see Drum Corps to come back to being like this. I am tired of the interpretive dance and non-music that is prevalent today.

I love the evolution of drum corps, it’s really fascinating to see how it has changed over the years, whether you believe better or worse. As entertainers it’s important to evolve with the audience. The audition is always going to be drawn to who is doing something new and innovative, take Blue Coats ‘16 show for example, a new and unique show that no one expected to see. It brought in lots of new elements to drum corps that we are still seeing, most noticeable the costume styled uniforms and larger props. While Bloo has been pushing to a more electric show, as seen in 2014 and 2015, this show caused almost every corps to follow because of the attention that seemed to follow. I love how DCI was back in the 70’, 80’, 90’, 00’, and now. It’s great to admire older shows but continue to look ahead to what my come. DCI is forever changing and it’s pretty amazing to watch it happen. 😊

@@elliottbrogley8116 -- but nothing compares with the sheer POWER of the G bugles ... Two-Seven ... Bridgemen ... 1980 & 1981 Spirit ... Madison from 1975 through the early 90s ... Crossmen doing straight-ahead jazz (like "Something") before YEA ruined them ... if these kids ever got the chance to play a quality G bugle (ESPECIALLY the low brass), I believe they would FINALLY realize what causes TRUE & PURE GOOSEBUMPS

I marched drum corps in the mid 1970's. Always loved 27th Lancers. Miss them so much. The ending of the mashup was fantastic!

This was drum corps before it became a big business controlled by pseudo Broadway Producers and Directors. Music is recognizable, played by bugles and percussion without mobile platforms, skidding boards, and rolling wheels filled with corpsmen. Ah, the good old days.

Yes I would love to Velvet Knights too! For an older corps the Bayone NJ Bridgemen would run right to the edge of the old strict rules! Very fun and entertaining for that era 70's early 80's
