Now we're starting to get somewhere! In this video, I re-assemble the head (since I took it off to level the swashplate) and then I put the blades that I just balanced back on. Then it was time to zero the pitch (CCPM Stup). My tools of choice: an iPhone and a rubber band. :-)
Yep...I used an app called RCpitch Express (the free version of the app) as a digital pitch gauge for this step of the process. Digital pitch gauges are really nice, but can be a little spendy. If you have one, great! But if you don't, you might check this out. Your results may vary, however, based on the design of your phone and your head (helicopter head, that is).
Once I get the blades set to 0° pitch at mid stick (making adjustments by lengthening the ball links between the swash and the blade grips), I then set the positive and negative pitch ranges. I'm using the Robird G31 software for setup, and the program tells you to set the full positive collective at 12 degrees (12°) and the full negative at -12 degrees (-12°). I take you along with me on that process, spending more time in the CollPit screen (Tab 4) of the software. This is the 3rd time in CollPit: First was to set the servo arms at 90°, then we were there again to level the swash, and now we finish off the screen with the pitch adjustments.
There is still a bit more collective pitch setup to do in the Robird software, but that will have to wait for the next video where I finish up the rest of the basic setup.

======================
Now that I have my new Tarot 450 Pro V2 Kit, it's time to get started on the build. Join me as I approach this build from a completely novice perspective. I'll be learning as I go, but hopefully someone can learn something from this...or at least get the courage to do it on your own.
Thanks for watching!

So...there's a couple of things to check. First, is your swashplate level at full, mid, and low stick. It should be level through the entire range. Second, if that is correct, and maybe even first...are you measuring the pitch from the same position or at least re-calibrating zero on the pitch gauge before measuring the other blade?

What about the other blade? One of my blades reads +12 -12, and the other blade reads like +15 -14
