He always was educated and well-read, but if I had a question that he didn't have an answer to, he would actually take me to the library and help me research my question since we didn't have a computer at our home at the time. He'd help me find books and print out information off the internet for me to read. It's honestly the best thing my dad ever did for me.

Dennis, I hope you see this! I've lived with a permanent headache following neck trauma since June 2021. I want to thank you & Charlie for sharing your feelings about it. One of the bizarre comforts I have is blaming the trauma itself; it's validating to excuse my predicament by sharing my injury like a crazy story, like part of my new identity. But I can tell instantly that your advice is really the best path out of here. I'll read the book and I will try to believe in the power of my mind and enjoy my future. Thank you!

Charlie, I had hip pain from my early 20s nearly every step hurt. I have femoro-acetabular impingement which isn't that bad anymore, ( no surgery) don't cross your legs, don't sit in sagging chairs and get a firm mattress. I also got rheumatoid arthritis in my hips which the Dr's won't treat unlit I'm alot older. Being cold adds to the pain.
