I actually could listen to you for hours! I'm still catching up on your older videos and never get tired of your stories. I haven't lived anywhere but Texas. Haven't been far but went to Memphis one time and Kansas that's as far as I've been. I enjoy listening to when you traveled to England and every place You talk about. You are a Really great storyteller, I mean to where I can almost picture the places you tell about. You make my days better. I have been to Ireland. The people are friendly and the country side is green. The streets of Dublin are clean and I enjoyed the quaint shops with gourmet soaps and chocolates. Your videos bring me so much joy. Your gift is bringing joy to others who are lonely and depressed.
I had a high school education, married the month after graduating, owned and operated Cindy’s Playschool for years. I’d planned to go to college to become a public schoolteacher, but was blessed to be very successful. My hub had a high school education and owned an insulation company. We were very blessed.

Well… I’ve only listened to 2 minutes. I have to stop and reply. I do understand, that you’d think you’d run out of stories. Most folks would feel that way, after embarking on such a journey. However!- you have NOT run out of stories. You never will. You could talk about how a squirrel takes a walnut and buried it and it made a tree… YOU are the content and attraction to this channel. At age 68 I moved to Fla, fell ill with a bad back, had a MS exacerbation and still too ill to do anything, 7 years now. I 0:11 heard you say for the first time now you are limited. I am too and it's a hard pill to swallow. You do it gracefully and with humor. Thank you for that, I will try to follow suite. You are my inspiration. Well, Granny Pat, I am turning 65 years old in July. I have major depression disorder, and panic attacks that give me tremors, my ability to drive is affected because of my delayed reactions. Now, I am a "homebody" can't get on public transportation either. So, I read my Holy Bible and have devotional time with the Lord in the early part of the mornings. Learning Bible Scriptures my memory is a slow process, with the Spirits help I remember them...not verbatim. God is good❤
Gosh, you've had an interesting life. Not one bit boring. I watched from the beginning to the end. Black Walnuts. Be still my heart. I grew up with grandparents who had many trees on their farm. Grandpa would collect the nuts and he'd put them in the farmlot and drive over them (to get rid of that outer green and brown hull). Then he'd put them in gunnysacks and hang them from rafters in the barn. Grandma made a buttery cookie that she always put black walnuts in--they were refrigerator cookies--you know, the kind you slice and bake. Grandma put them in fudge and brownies and banana bread. Talk about good....

Our lives are so parallel as I grew up in a small town too, married and divorced young with two children. Money was tight, no fancy vacations, Disney, etc and did crafts, sewing for my kids and home too. I love your stories and don’t think I’ve missed a single one. Many times your stories bring back memories I haven’t thought of in years. Looking back, I think we’ve both had a pretty good life and please keep your stories coming♥️

My dad worked for the Wabash Bluebird Railroad, was manager of the dining and parlor department. We went to Chicago, IL different times. Then the dining room was with linen tablecloths, china, and it was luxurious. As you see, that was many years ago.

Well Pat, I’ve had many opportunities to go on a cruise or to fly to Hawaii but I turned them all down. I am afraid because I get seriously motion sickness. Nothing ever worked for me. But my favorite place is Charleston SC. I lived there a while in 1957 then in 1983 my daughter and son-in-law lived off base S he went in the Navy(30 years) we have parked at the Battery in a morning and walked everywhere till about 5.00. I was younger and they were so we walked all over Charleston often. One year the spent the Summer at Seabrook Island. I loved it. I guess I ve been all over that town and never got tired of going. My 2 grandsons were born there.i love your videos because we always have something in common.
Planning to go back to Charleston sometime soon. I love the tour of homes. Met the college president’s wife (beautiful home), bought her cookbook.. I have stayed at Seabrook 10 or 12 times. Wish Incould own one of those houses! Motion sickness is my middle name. A passenger on the QE-2 sent me to the infirmary to get a shot. It was like a miracle. That shot lasted 6 days on the ship. I never had any ill effects after that. The Queen Mary 2 is a much smoother ship. I have to avoid winding country roads. What a life we must live!

What a charmed life you have lived! I loved this video and actually prefer the longer ones Granny Pat. You have been to so many places and experienced so many types of events, places, and people. The story of the farm where you were with Jan and her new husband, you could write about. That place was so beautiful and lush! What was it like to ride in that big open vehicle? I couldn’t imagine but it sure seemed like fun! So now you are making new stories. I am sorry that your fall has affected your body too but I am sure as you adjust you will have some words of wisdom for us. I also love the ones where you just chat about your day. Aaah, the farm, and the vehicle I call a dingy! I held on for dear life thinking any minute I would bounce right out the side of the dingy. It was fun though. I’m anxious to go back when the fruits and wildflowers are full. I want to get some good pictures. Jan is a good photographer.

Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady was performed by Anthony Andrews, who also played with Jane Seymour in The Scarlet Pimpernel. (So much for ‘forgetfulness’)

I was getting started on your videos tonight and the first one I saw was about the young man who lived in your apartment building, had been in a terrible accident and was paralyzed…a quadriplegic. He had asked you to help him for a short time while his regular help was away. The story was very interesting and I know you were a great help! Sometime after his help had returned, he was found after committing suicide It became very hard for you to tell the rest of the story, I began crying, and I thought I’d never be able to stop. Now I believe I’m writing after you told of your trip on The Queen Elizabeth II to England! That was a wonderful trip, I’m sure! I doubt I will ever make it over there! I’ve gone from coast to coast here in the US twice and visited many cities and states in between! My husband and I visited Canada and took my parents but only spent one night. We walked into Mexico on two different trips ten years apart, taking our two children the second time. I’d love to go to go to England but I’ll soon be eighty, I’ve lost my husband, and I’m having a few health issues, so I’d better stay close to home. I really enjoy your stories!

Do me a favor! My house was also in a Country Decorating Magazine. I would buy several of the magazines to give away.. Wouldn’t you know - I gave away my very last copy of that magazine. I don’t have a single copy. It would have been published in 1994 or 1995. The cover had brown colors on it. When you can, browse through your magazines and see if you might have one with my pictures in it. I can’t contact the Magazine company because I don’t have exact information. The magazine story may have covered 3 pages.

I lived in the same county, the same small town, and the same house from birth to age 20 when I got married! I went to college after I had kids. My first plane ride was to London when my oldest son was in high school and toured Europe with the state’s band members. After he married he worked at nashville airport and we got free/reduced airfare so we got to go to Ireland, Scotland, Spain, and Prince Edward Island. He doesn’t work there anymore so I guess my flying days are over. I would love to travel in the U.S. now but my eyes won’t let me drive that much. I need to find someone to travel with!
My husband fell off the house, and he hasn’t been able to do as much ever. Although he did recover, he had fractures in his back. It’s hard to walk to do things but you can’t. He kind of has to pick and choose. It’s hard for me. Interested in doing things, I understand how hard it is though.
You won a trip on the QE II?! Magnificent! Well done. What a great story. I entered a contest to name a picture of an underwater scene and won my honeymoon trip for scuba diving in the Bahamas. I was shocked, too. We never know what we can do until we try. PS - Recently took a trip to Tennessee and had my first banana pudding (finally). Thought of you. 👏🏻

Academia is not the only way to get a degree! As far as I am concerned, you have a doctorate in life experience! The name of the hotel in Quebec City is “ Chateau Frontenac”. If I’m not mistaken, I think it is owned by the Fairmount chain. My niece had her wedding reception their and it was grand. I live in the greater Montreal area and I am a 2 and a half hour drive, from Quebec city. There is a lot of history in the city. I have a lot of unilingual French speaking friends that live there.🙏❤️🇨🇦
