Elly the 2CV and I take part in an Autosolo, which is like an Autotest, but without the reversing bits. It involves driving as fast as possible on a very short, twisty course, lots of arm twirling and tyre squeal, even with just 29bhp! A 2CV displays remarkable bodyroll of course.
It's hard to describe how much fun it is, but I gave it a go.
Many thanks to the Accrington Motor Sport Club (www.accrington-msc.org) for organising it. It's cheap fun, at £30 a go and £5 for a year's club membership. I would love to see more classics having a go!
Ultimately, Elly had a few problems, but it was a great first run of the year.
