Hello first offall thank you for the video if i may i would like to ask one question what would change if i take the surfaces from space claim as stp and mesh it in ls dyna and what would happen if i model casing as euler part
@@batuhangokalp2763 yes, you can import STP files to LS Prepost. If the liner is ALE, then you need to connect it to the rest of the ALE domain via shared nodes.
You can check the following videos in my channel: LS-DYNA TUTORIAL 2: Tensile Test LS-DYNA TUTORIAL 9: Tensile Test with Solid Elements and Variable Thickness Shells Post Processing Tutorial (with LS-Prepost)
Hello, great video. I have this error when running : *** Warning 41272 (SOL+1272) Please define a vacuum AMMG for converting the failed ALE materials Any idea what could be the issue ? Thanks
@@AmeenTopa Okay thank you. I also have another question : since i'm not used to meshing in ls dyna, I usualy do the cad file in solidworks/catia, import it in hypermesh to mesh it and export it to lsdyna. Could you explain me what are you doing around 5m30 ? Because for the meshing I simply meshed the surfacic cad file with mixed 2D elements in hypermesh, i don't understand why are you doing solid elements ? Thanks
@@theodose3 that is an intermediate step to create the liner. I created the solid, and based on that solid I created the shell part for the liner. Unlike Hypermesh, LS-PREPOST does not have the same meshing capabilities.
Selamin Aleykum Mr. Topa, you did this video by doing air, expolosive and liner merged but liner is lagrange. If you did this 3d model, what would you do among air, explosive and liner. I think you would create air ambient without connection with explosive and liner. You would do contact between liner and casing. I dont know how you would do connection between explosive and air. Can you explain me :(
Hello, have you written a paper about the explosively formed penetrator specifically ? I would be very interested to read the results as my thesis work is about shaped charges and as your video help me very much to implement my model :)
This work is still in progress. It has not been published yet. :D I am glad this video helped in your thesis. Don't forget to mention my name in the acknowledgment section, hehe.
The units are based on the input. We know that the steel has a density of 7800 kg/m3. So, if the value 7800 is used as the density, then we are using kg, and meters. If it is 7.80e-6 then the units are kg and mm. If it 7.80e-9 then it is tone and mm. Check the unit consistency table from dynasupport website.
Good afternoon ) I 'm sorry to bother you , but would you give me a little advice ?a similar type of problem , but not solved : ( please help !! where can I write to you for help ?
