Join us on our 2D3N trip to Penang and discover why this destination should be on your travel list - or not! In this video, we explore the vibrant streets of George Town, indulge in delicious local cuisine, visit stunning temples, and take in breathtaking views from Penang Hill.
Our day started with a half-day tour that took us to two beautiful temples. Then, we decided to satisfy our taste buds with a local favorite - Wanton Mee. We found a cozy cafe that served delicious Wanton Mee, and it was even better than what we had in Singapore! With our bellies full, we continued our adventure by visiting the street arts. We then headed for a late lunch at a recommended restaurant to try Prawn Mee, a dish that Penang is famous for as well as Char Kuey Teow and Laksa.
Next on our itinerary was a visit to Penang Hill and the Kek Lok Si Temple. The journey to the top of Penang Hill was exhilarating, and the view from the summit was breathtaking. We explored the park, hoping to catch a glimpse of monkeys, it wasn't until the last minute that we finally saw one - captivating experience. And for dinner, we ventured to Gurney Drive, a food paradise with an overwhelming amount of choices.
On day 2, we tried going to an IG-worthy cafe - the food was also delicious. Before heading to Penang Botanical Gardens, we found it a bit underwhelming compared to the well-maintained gardens in Singapore. And then continued to explore the city at our own space - visiting old mansions and food venues.
