cookiespasmXD as the community grows it also complains more smh. I hate when people complain about mario being too bad in Brawl but when Sakurai makes him better and more functional(with a few busted moves, cant deny that) people still find reasons to complain.

xX_ V _Xx Yeah, though mario's up smash is a strong move, I don't get why people make such a big deal out of it. For example, I think fox's up smash is more busted than marios because Fox has more combos that sets up into it, it has significantly more knockback, and has more range.

I agree. I used to hate Mario until I tried using him and I realized how hard he can get walled out. IMHO he is probably the lowest character that you can realistically solo-main at any level. He doesn't really have any hard counter matchups, but he does have quite a few that are slightly in the opponent's favor.

Correct! Even his fellow mushroom kingdom allies/enemies give him trouble because they have tools to beat his approach options. Disjoints in general give Mario issues (even some of the lesser ranged ones like G&W's or Pit's.) I'm just glad Mario got buffed in sm4sh because he was overshadowed by most characters in Brawl.

Uh, the middle of top tier would be above high tier. What OP said made perfect sense. If you replaced "mid-top" with, say, "upper mid," then it wouldn't make sense.

Mid-top tier = the middle section of the top tier. These include Fox, Sonic, Zero Suit Samus, and Marthcina. Mario's highest potential (in my opinion) lies there (mostly due to having a fantastic combo game with a bunch of utility moves that make him dangerous up close). Mario also doesn't really have a stage counterpick (he has good platform pressure and can catch landings easier with Flood or run in shield when plats are absent). He has one of the best combos games, he has great frame data, and he has slightly above-average mobility (with his air mobility being in the top 10). His only major weakness is landing and getting beat by larger hitboxes (like the Links, Lucas, Ness, Mewtwo, Swordies, Ganon, Ryu etc).

Especially if you're Abadango... Or Ally's chair.

It is mainly used as a mind game tool as Shadow Ball comes out on frame 23 and is rather slow. If you just charge it and cancel it your opponent won't know if you shoot it or not - And if you are in charging position Shadow Ball comes out on frame 6 from that position, so you can't react to it anymore at closer range. In addition, it is also used as a mobility option: C-Bounce/Wave-Bounce/B-reversed SBalls change Mewtwo's momentum a lot (And you don't have to shoot a SBall if it's not fully charged to do those mobility opiton). There is also the possibility to cancel Mewtwo's Double Jump with it to gain another mobility option. All in all, most of the time you don't want to have a fully charged SBall, especially versus characters with reflectors - In those Match-ups it's even more important how you play the mind games with the charge cancels. Btw, you can also jump cancel the SBall charge (Press Shield->Jump, if you time it correctly the shield won't come up) and do an aerial/UpSmash out of it for even more fancy stuff. Mewtwo is such a cool character.

1. Doesn't show glow on mewtwo showing that it's fully charged 2. Double jump cancel 3. B-reverse/C-bounce if it's fully charged then you can't do 2 and 3 cuz it will shoot the shadow ball and opponent can react, especially for characters with reflectors.

it's only a confirm on certain percents, I believe around 70 - 100 percent is the sweet spot where the down throw will position the opponent at the perfect height for fair. It can be di'd but its really hard in that percentage range.
