Just came across this video and I love the project. I'll probably need to catch up starting with the first episode and this project is giving me ideas for my E87 118i since I also have a serious need for more power. My current motor options are the N54 or the 1JZ.
Hey bro, I'm curious to know about the 335i the 2J came out of. I;m planning on doing a build with a 335i 2jz swap but am struggling to find some help on things like wiring. Was wondering if you could help with any of that? sick build and awesome videos!
25k plus parts .. makes the most jank power steering resivor mount ever... that and the fins smashed on that intercooler.... Buys a TWIN SCROLL EFR TURBO, makes a single scroll 6- into 1 manifold with a terrible wastegate placement ... It WILL struggle to control boost on a EFR even with a second internal wastegate on the EFR (after it finally spools on that single scroll) ..... hmmmmm. Hey at least it has cosmetic appeal with the purple powder coating.

I can send pics. also I did it myself as a hobby in my own garage. turbo s52 fully built , eagle rods, diamond pistons , springs , retainers , cams, ect ect ..e39 touring, 67/66. 3.5" exhaust. flex fuel, stock Dme, full air ride, 20" style 32's, 135i brembos , the list goes on and on.... not jealous of your corner cutting. Did I mention my e36 with the turbo built m52/solid lifters/ dbb s366 , TWIN SCROLL TURBO AND MANIFOLD over 8k rpm?
@@drewdavis239 sounds like a generic build that every other 328i e36 person does, I am not inpressed at all. If I have parts laying around that are available then I am going to use them, simple as that. I dont see sense in spending money I don’t need to spend when I have them readily available. I built another motor for this car anyways so everything you see turbo wise is going to be redone, the EFR turbo was given to us from a client and again, used it as it was free to me. Will be switching over to something powerful
your selling a product for top $$$. Not using "what's laying around" ... or maybe I got that wrong. my apologies. Like you said , Tons of turbo e36's , But I daily a twin disc turbo s52 e39 touring 6 speed. It's 2022, you do you, but your not the only one. (acting like you are , doesn't make you look any more professional .)
