Make sure to like and subscribe to my Channel to follow me on the journey of fixing up this 1986.5 Toyota Supra. During my videos I not only cover repairs, but I also cover converting this factory 7MGE Auto to a 2JZGTE VVTi with a 5-Speed R154 manual transmission.
In this video I cover relocating the oil filter on the 2JZ and converting from the factory Aristo GTE oil cooler to a 19 Row G-Plus oil cooler. I also cover using a thermostat to prevent oil starvation during cold temperature starts. I also share some of the hose routing for coolant and fuel in my build.

Sorry for taking down the original upload. Shortly after uploading it I realized that I had a series of corrupt video frames. Unfortunately I had to remove several frames of video.

Looking good. I just found and bought a unmolestedly factory 89 Turbo with the 5 speed. It has only 92000 original miles. Zero rust! It was a barn find and looks only 3 to 5 years old. Incredible find. I am going to stay with the 7M but I like the direction that you are going with your build.

Thanks for sharing. Great attention to detail. Did you create a bracket for the oil thermostat as well or is it floating? The Oil cooler is post filter correct? Thanks!!

I really appreciate your feedback! At first I ran @500 miles with no bracket supporting the thermostat. I then found a microscopic leak in one of the fittings and decided it would be best to build a bracket for the thermostat. The oil cooler is prior to the oil filter. The oil filter is the last device oil circulates to before entering the motor.
