2k Clear in a spray can 

One correction to the cons. It CAN be used over non-2k basecoats. I've used it over multiple Dupli-Color perfect match spray paint and it works perfectly.

perfect for a non painter to fix a panel and have it look as good as factory paint. im impressed but it is a little pricey for one can ! but way cheaper then setting up a paint shop lol !! thanks for posting the vids !

Thanks for this video. I never knew 2K existed in cans and it's very interesting to know it does! I use 2K through the airbrush and really love it's final shine and hardness. For bigger projects, I'll definitely search for one of those cans! Thanks again.

Can you use regular rustoleum clear underneath the spray Max? I have metal flake that I would like to burry underneath regular clear and then apply the spray Max as the last couple of coats

Just painted a motorcycle gas tank using ColorRite 1K color match spray paint and covered it with 2K gloss. I was able to get 3 coats of clear out of 1 can. Amazing results from a spray can.

After the base coat application , did you wipe the panel down before the clear application?

Looks like there are two large inclusion, centre top of wheel arch and top rear of the guard. Are the inclusions from the can or something else? I for some reason, always have tiny insects attracted to the drying paint. I need to go all Starship Troopers on the bugs.

Great video. Do you have a video using the 2k matte clear in a spray can? I had some issues and I’m looking for help.

I think I would risk using a preval spray with some production 2k clear in the can. I tried this and after buff it looked better and I still have a whole gallon of clear. Preval spray can 5 bucks USD and gallon of decent production clear 65. They just dont have that nifty fan on the can like that one. But after buffing it is just fine.

Hi what base coat were you using from the spray can? Is it a 1k paint? Will any regular enamel be able to handle the 2k clear on top? Or was this another product with 2k base coat?

What is your method to spray this stuff as it seems to spray out much stronger than a normal spray can and then the nozzel fans out more to. Would this be more similar to a spray gun

I use a 2k clear/high gloss that doesn't require the mixing of the activator.. in your experience which do you find better

I'm looking at a car that has had 2 panels resprayed due to clearcoat peeling off. the color match looks good. trouble is they never finished off by putting any clear coat on. do you recommend this method or will i need a painter to do the whole thing including color? thanks.

Hope someone can help me out. I used this stuff on the windshield/windscreen on my bike. I did the whole thing with the red button, when I was done I put the can with some clear still in it on the bench, that was about three weeks ago. When I shake the can I can still hear the ball inside rattling around. Does this mean that the hardner didn't mix properly?

i have a fender and when i finish painting it, it is a different color than what is in the can. The paint matches the rest of the car perfectly when i spray a test spot on the car. The fender is from a junkyard. When i first painted the fender the color came out correctly. That was with another brand of paint. Any ideas?

How long between coats? how long before dry? after 3 days my plastic headlights was still sticky with lots of orange pill... I was stupid and seen some debris on the lights & wiped the debris off with 99% alcohol & rubbed the 2k clear coat off as well after 3 days....smh..... any advice?

I just did mines but looks cloudy. . I did 3 coats waited 24hrs wetsanded and resprayed another 2 coats. It is silve but i just dont see the deep gloss.

I just purchased a can of 2k clear coat at the paint store to color match my fuel filler door to match the quarter panels of my Civic because I just welded in patch panels and bodyworked and painted them to match the rest of the car and didn't have enough basecoat and clear left to do the fuel door because I forgot about it. Anyway, it's nice to see that it's going to come out mint. If not, I will hold you personally liable...LMAO I'm joking obviously.

You mention the 2K can only be used over 2K Basecoat or existing 2K finish. Pretty sure it can go over water based basecoat! If you think it can’t. Would you be able to explain? Much appreciated 👍🏻

Mine splattered a lot and was coming out the side of the nozzle. Even after heating it up a bit and also wiping the tip continually. Not sure what happened. Maybe lint on nozzle. Pretty depressing.

I like the way this clearcoat spray can clearcoat paint comes out thick I used two clearcoat cans with a semi gloss on my truck but it was not a high gloss plus you can't mix it like this one you showed on video. Wonder why this don't come in a quart.

And how do I know of this can be used over my base coat? I get the paint can from my local autoparts store and it says "single stage" on the can

The issue with these for consumers is the very long drying time. If you can't paint in a closed room without dust, it's almost impossible to keep a good finish until the paint is dry.

Painted the hatchback to my car and used your typical automotive clear coat. The results were horrible! I had to redo the entire job. The second time around I used the 2K and ended up with professional results. It's an impressive product. Almost similar to applying a clear coat with a spray gun. You can also feel the hardness of the clear coat afterwards during the water sanding process.
