I recommend going into the NBA roster and checking ratings+badges. I’ve done it almost every 2K and it comes close to the meta almost every time; granted you’re not going to get an exact D. Book needless to say.
I already know there’s gonna be that one dumb friend who wants to go to the park 10 minutes after launch….& then end up deleting that build a few weeks later. 🤣
I usually make an under-sized big/Charles Barkley type as my first build. 6’6” SF, but I would often get matched the preferred PF in REC. This year I’ll def need to try it again since there should be more balance across builds. I would have to box out like crazy or play against stretch bigs to get boards. I would have low 90s defensive rebound and gold or silver box out but I swear the ball would just gravitate to glass cleaners with 99 rebound. It should be a challenge to keep those guys off the glass but I have a problem when I’m playing smart and boxing out it all the other guy has to do is tap triangle. I expect to see less bigs with 99 rebound in REC, unless they are a specialist. This should increase the skill gap, rebounding should be tougher for everyone but my Barkley build could be a problem for bigs who don’t box out.
Check out “anextranut” 6’6 build. I feel ur pain bro I mainly be on a 6’8 build and I be getting snagged sometimes even tho the rebound should be mine. This year imma make a 6’10 build at sf. Mainly shooting and defense but imma have finishing with the lowest attributes
@@biggxtana6143 yeah but there always ends up being a better sharp build than the first one you make. Whether it’s a imperial system glitch or just putting your attributes in better spots
@@StevenEatsAlone not everyone is looking to make a meta build or be exactly like every other build because it's the most broken some people just pick a build they enjoy playing with
I'm looking forward to building my defensive centre with athleticism. I make one every year but I'm actually excited for this year. A 7'0 centre can having a 93 driving dunk which is crazy.
I built a center 7'0 that have 93 driving 99 standing 99 post control 99 block and 94 defensive rebounding , maxed out arms. Quite fast for a center that tall ( i have like 77 speed 75 acceleration ). Tell me if u want to know more about the build
@@Justin-mb8ve well that center build does not shoot, and has only one playmaking badge (went to vice grip). But hey i dont care about shooting as a big, i wanted to have an insane rim protector and a offensive threat at the post, i can back down anyone and finish on them.
I really would love some one at 2k to explain the link between ball handle and perimeter defense. I had to stop the video when I seen that. That makes absolutely no sense but I’m sure it gets worse in the name of a “skills gap” and we’ll find out Thursday night
@@kentonr91 I agree that’s the reason but disagree with the premise behind it. Case in point James Harden, one of better ball handlers in league but also one of the worst perimeter defenders.
Maybe I was a little too aggressive on that. Theres a lot of comments saying people are using their 1st builds. Honestly couldn't be me though. I need a variety.
2k might do the same thing as last year and add one badgepoint per season as rewards... also like last year they might give you Opportunities in my career where you could get additional badges for playing career.. but alot of people missed those badge points cause they went straight to the park instead of playing my career
@@iDontUploadiJustSub yeah but it is 2k we talking bout here... we both know 2k not going to do that... plus that would mess up the balancing of the characters that they are trying to do...
@@spillboy I doubt that, I feel like the tiers are only there for MyCareer. The play now/MyTeam player models probably don't have the tiers. Only thing that'd change effectiveness is the attribute rating being higher.
Not all tier 1 badges are available at bronze. I'm not sure which ones are unavailable, but I do know that there are some that still have minimum requirements for bronze.
I made a few mistakes like my lock has a 95 perimeter D instead of 97 so I only get gold clamps and on my big I miss out on certain contact dunks because my very is 1 short of 75
like 99% sure it will be. someone, may have been mike wang, tweeted out that both games would have the same builder. nonetheless they will be very similar at least
So you can’t have a build that’s elite at everything. If you want to be elite with Playmaking and Shooting you shouldn’t be able to get a bunch of Defense and Finishing badges.
Are steals OP again this year ? Because I don’t wanna put that up if they nerfed it but I see everyone get steals left and right with MJ in the challenges
Do we know if the badge tier has any effect on the potency of a badge? Ie is a bronze tier one badge just as affective as that same bronze badge at tier 2 or 3?
its based off your position height. So say as a center slithery finisher may not be considered a tier 3 badge but as a shooting guard they will consider it as a tier 3 badge.
Nah you all looking at it the wrong way. Name any player you can think of that does everything at an all-time level. 2k has many players labled 99 pr even 98 or 97. These players like Giannis or Lebron or Kobe or MJ can do 2 things extraordinarily well and the rest just average at best. So Giannis he can finish and play elite defense but can't shoot elite. Lebron only shoots 35% from 3 for his career. Jordan and Kobe were not elite rebonders or rim protectors and were decent passers with their main focus being scoring and secondary being defense.
just like everybody else ya'll still learning #ReachRichards #MisterWessells #Dot6Entertainment #MisterFantastic The real one is not among them T.R.O.I.N.A.T The One And Only T.O.A.O
Does that mean that Small Contact Dunk animations will be better than the Pro Contact Dunk animations? Since they require higher dunking and vertical rating?
I haven't played 2K My Career since 2k19 I got a new PlayStation and they wiped my whole career, but this shit is so confusing I just want to make a tight build like a small forward
Is this 2K like 22 where you could shoot and green consistently with even a low 70s 3pt rating? Or is it like 21 where shoot was a little tougher for lower rated shooters?
@@spillboy also, that is critical information we need to know before making our builds....so stupid 2k expects us to spend $100 just to guess at the build we're making.....they need to lay this shít out straight up front.
I made ah my player in career in deleted cause I didn’t like now I can’t make another one every time I make it’s not letting me get to pick takeovers or get too story on career what do I do
I don’t like this badge system. It’s so rigid and not flexible at all. It feel like every badge you pick prevents you from actually making an NBA player. Yet when you look in the roster, all sorts of players are breaking the stiff barrier they put on my career.
As a primarily MC player its so annoying that 2k has once again turned our players into one dimensional guys. Much like 2k17 where you were forced to have pretty much one skill all year. It's annoying, 2K won't truly become balanced until they seperate MyCareer from Park/Rec and have 2 seperate player builders.
YEEEESSSSS!!!! I feel like this is a step backwards for MC. Last year I was actually able to make a Joker build with solid D. Now I'm gonna have to be an extra tall Kyle Korver or be stuck in the paint like Gobert.
