Clipped dunks been a problem for years but ironically the year they buff the rim runs the interior defense just got COMPLETELY worse. 2K added in basically foul animations where you take people out of their dunk animations & force them into a contested layup. When you aren’t as lucky & 2K says “fuck you” to people who upgraded block/interior defense & just lets people quick drop or tomahawk right through you. Only Solution is remove limitless takeoff & actually buff the interior defense, dudes changed the COLOR of the contests but not the actual defense😭 Next Year we need a more strict builder, also LATERAL QUICKNESS SUCKS, if you get beat on one move you have to do the most to recover Also the defensive stance shit shouldn’t even be something we have to ask for, why the fuck can niggas get the most cheesiest animations for offense but defense is RNG??
I definitely agree on the stricter builder part. If you wanna get a 99 3 ball it should be impossible to get a 90+ ball handle and 90 driving dunk with gold QFS. Only one attribute should get up to 99 tbh the others gotta take a hit for a high risk high reward on that attribute
There's something wrong with A.I.s in MyCareer besides NBA games, almost every shot taken against them is either open or wide open and rarely contested bur as soon as you play ant other mode they actually register contests
Bro I got a 7’1 pure defensive anchor. Everything except perimeter defense and steal is on 99. I still be getting dunked on, layed on, and I can barely block to save my life. And don’t even get me started on rebounding 😂
Half the defensive badges don’t work, slashing is easy asf. Why people can move faster with the ball than without it playing defense? Makes no sense. Paint defense been ass since 2k20, movement in this game is not good especially on defense. Sometimes it feels like you can’t fucking move, 2k gives offense everything and don’t do shit for defense.
If u don’t know hands up defense has been nerf to the ground. Like your character can’t move if someone speed-boost and u have your hands up it basically stuns u. They legit remove defense from the game
Maaan I've always said 2k always nerfs defense other than steals and it's bc you got like 5 or 6 offensive badges going up against one or 2 defensive. For example with anchor. You gotta go up against slithery, posterior, giant slayer,pro touch(which is too op), limitless range(get rid of i acrobat and a couple other badges I can't name. It not balanced at all. When its 3 offensive categories vs one defensive category the offense is most likely gonna win just bc more badges will pop up vs one or two defensive
@@47hundo86 attributes only matter for animations. 2k has been an animation based game for the longest. Attributes don't really matter. You can have an 80 driving dunk to get silver takeoff and quick drops and be good against guys with high interior D and hof anchor just bc quick drops animation can't be stopped like that. So no attributes don't matter. Badges and animations only.
I’m glad somebody brought up the algorithm point. There’s a momentum meter in mycareer for a reason. You tend to make more shots and get better animations when it’s on your side. If it’s not, you’ll notice a difference with animations for sure.

Ow we got mfs not wanting to pass that ball no matter what playstyle they play because they build can literally do everything. And on top of that all y’all just suck at defense. I was locking up the best players on non high defensive builds every year. This the first year I ever went pass a 75 perimeter. Instead of spouting 50% correct statements, look in the mirror.
2k needs to take every good thing from each 2k and put it all into one. Take one 2ks dribbling system and then another ones defensive mechanics and just put it into the new game. Stop trying to redo something thats been bad for multiple years now.
I been saying this for the last few 2ks for the most part when 2k22 an 2k23 came out the game was pretty balanced besides steals that’s it when people can’t iso that’s when there is a problem with the game instead of passing the ball they would rather complain about steals being overpowered an a huge problem with the game is player iq with rng
I have a clip of me dunking over a dude with rim protector take and on my big I have 3 clips in one rac game getting back to back snatch blocks and I got one when a dude was using the dunk meter
Idgaf about size if a mfer got his defensive stats high then it should count i only give leeway to bigs i understand but no way in hell is smothered or a high contest still mean u scored Mfers time their steals correctly and still aint get it either it goes thru em or its an automatic foul bump steals barely works Rebounding is horrible i kno damn well mfers aint smacking or tipping the ball out of bounds Limitless anything should be removed Contest system is broken idgaf if a screen is being set mfers dont use blinders no more no way in hell he should still hit shots if im there ik for sure those new shooting badges plus deadeye and blinders is not being used All in all defense aint there NCAA got better defense
To simply put it, overall the game is just simply overly inconsistent. From defense to offense. -2/10. Too many badges that completely overpower other badges n attributes too. Completely throws balance out the window. Cant say this is a skill game then gift so much bull crap in the game
