First off, your fab skills are fantastic. That said, I was thinking same thing and I have never done this. Pan hard bar will swing in an Arc as suspension goes up and down. In your configuration and assuming your bar is not level at ride height, as the suspension compresses, length of pan hard bar will effectively lengthen thus push your rear axle to the passenger side of the vehicle. simple geometry would suggest that you set rig at ride height, then adjust length of your bar and brackets so that is sits level. It will still shift (hence the weak part of this particular design) but equal in each direction.
You should do a build sheet, what parts you bought for each project you do. I understand its a lot more work but it would be nice and evade a lot of what bags did you use comments lol
Curious...my 02 Ram 3500 has a Load Sensing looking Valve on the Rear Im assuming proportions the rear Brake Bias depending on how much the Rear Squats with Load. I wonder how this would work on seeing as if air ride keeps the Rear Level it will keep most Breaking Power to the Front Wheels...🤷♂️...maybe it could just be removed, I don't remember ever seeing it on other 1 tons...
Awesome work glad I found you doing a old dodge w350 air ride in the back and coil overs up front the back will be perfect for my towing needs and have a awesome ride up front again thanks for the video gonna order that kit myself!!dumb question you think a 120 volt gas mig welder could do the work if I use a torch in the spots to heat it up then shoot my welds or should I get a stick welder?
I know it "should" but there is too much in the way to get a long bar and also a level bar, and this truck will be set at a ride height and kept there for the most part.
J_Moffitt then drop the point on the frame behind the axle. It will really help on the ride. As it sits wherever you hit a bump on one side or the other it will chase the axle to shift to much side to side
J_Moffitt the steering is corrected by the drag link in the steering system with the axle. The rear does not have steering correction for axle deflection. Not trying to be argumentative just hate seeing this much good work out in on something and something go wrong or not end up right
ты чего так потеешь? болен? сними хотя-бы футболку. не сгоришь , от сварки, я раз. на экзамене в одной рубашке три положения заварил, думал сгорю, нормально!
