I graduated 8th grade in Oklahoma in 1989. That's pretty much the clothes I wore back then. Minus the hat, I wasn't cool enough for a good hat. It's nice to see you dress up for the video to match the era of the truck. Check out those Redhead steering gear boxes. They look pretty tight. Literally as well as to the modern colloquial expression.
Thank ya guy. I grew up always dressing like this because of my granddad as well as living on a farm until I was 17 then when I moved I moved to a even more rural area in Wisconsin. As for the steering I will look into that since I’m building the truck so thank you.
@BurningTread I've got the same truck, but 2001 and green. I've got the small gas V8. They're an amazing truck if you don't ask too much of them. Mine has overload bags in the back, an oversized radiator with a transmission aftercooler, and a few other upgrades. Once in a great while, I ask way too much of it. So far it has delivered. You should have seen me when I moved back to California in that outfit in 1990. Lol. It took me a few years to try to fit in again. I never really pulled that off. Now? I wear a black tee and blue jeans every day. I put stuff on top of it when it gets lower than 40°f out, but it's the same stuff almost all the time. I haven't had to make a wardrobe decision in almost two and a half decades. Fashion is for simps. Simplicity is its own fashion.
@@johngifford7725yessir these trucks and actually take an absolute beating drive train was stock and engine had bolt on modifications and survived 26 passes the mud racing season of 2023 that is beating every single part of the truck so hard it’s ridiculous. And as for dressing well I live in the Midwest Wisconsin to be specific and proud of it but winter is pretty boring dress lol sweatshirt jeans and obviously a jacket
Nice truck man but be careful with that noise at 5:56 if it's an automatic, mine made that noise when I would shift into drive. It got worse and I finally lost forward gears. Tore it down and found out a snap ring came loose in the forward clutch drum.
Interesting well when I ripped it out last November the truck barely moved lol that transmission was original with about 240,000 on it so it did it’s job lol oh yeah and before me there was a fifth wheel gooseneck hitch in it 😂 but it’s getting a complete rebuild should be done in a week or two
nice love it i got a 2001 i use for hunting and offroad shinanigans i love it i just put a level kit on it and some fox shocks and raplaced all the steering parts and it takes a beating and goes just about anywhere. its also beat the hell on the the body so i just dont give a shit about smacking trees and walls and the likes,.
Yessir I can’t use mine for hunting due to it scaring every grouse turkey ect for a 1 mi radius I use my daily which also kinda sucks but it’s quiet. These trucks are really nice I have and engine and everything to rebuild it it will be mud truck and off-road beater on the weekends.
It is a bumper made of sch 40 pipe I bought at the local hardware store I made my own blue print tacked it up and welded it and later added a winch plate for the 15,500 lb winch I bought for the truck
It’s shorty headers (bc long tubes don’t clear and need multiple modifications) true duals with no cats an H pipe to 2 flowmaster super 10s and right now an axel dump Im in the process in making it a bedside exit
