Thank you for this video and the links. Im not a full homeschooling Mami but I do like to have activitbooks and school matirial to help my son with whatever I see that he's struggling with or that I can encourage to learn more about.
I’m commenting before I watch the whole video but have you heard of Kitchen Table Homeschool? Formerly Modern Classical Education at Home but look them up! We are pretty eclectic here but lean modern classical/traditional and they really have some great material that has steadied me on this wild ride. Just wanted to throw them out there! 🍎🍏♥️☺️
🍎🍏 We have very similar LA expectations however I don't care about spelling at all until closer to middle school. I feel like if I can get their reading where I want it, the spelling will follow.

I had an awful experience with public school unfortunately with my CPTSD. Anxiety 😟 disorder). Being autistic I have really bad trust issues cause how I was treated through grade school & my teen years). Having to work on avoiding people who trigger my CPTSD anxiety 😟 disorder). Realizing I had child abuse done to me for 6 years from special Ed years ago. I ll never put my future children in public school ever I don’t trust special Ed). In the school system I just don’t reading 📖 articles watching news clips how they get treated makes me sick to my stomach. Even my boyfriend & ℹ going to be on the homeschooling band wagon as well one day! No I don’t want my future kids have their grade school years wasted like mine was . Don’t want them fall behind their peers especially school subjects like what happened to me 😢. Or abusive aides or teachers or miss felid trips events. I am like no answer is no). I know what to look out for dyslexia, handwriting, disability math 🧮 disability, fine motor skills I can have OT through hospital network, having been yelled at had CPS called on my parents twice it was false alarm, school nurse teacher, years ago). I may be paranoid. But I want to protect my own future, kids from what I went through years ago). The school system is not great for kids teens with special needs either the math 🧮 system was horrible basically confused as heck touch math 🧮 messed me up ⬆️). I was around 5 days a week Classic textbook 📕 narcissistic‘s. Mental health is I have to keep an eye on as well. No I am not crazy of making the decision to homeschool my future, kids one day. I am not crazy about the school system especially how special Ed students get treated. Don’t get me started on shredding paper 📄.
When I was looking though Khan Academy for math 🧮 & Language Arts I have to say this it is definitely not 2ND grade math 🧮 both of us grew up with at all. I was like what seriously? These math 🧮 apps don’t recommend them goodness I don’t even want to know what they do to 2ND grade math 🧮 or Language Arts. Data , measurements that used to be 3RD grade measurements Data was like middle school. It is crazy how much math got messed with 14/1/2 years ago 😿.
