@adm boos ahh I mean, most martial artist masters have experiences of tournaments, and in order to study they record those. and penkak is a famous martial art, so if you really wanna find, try finding personal emails or so. Internet is awesome.
Superb skills, great power of man. Protective father or husband. Your family or children are so lucky to have you. Not like me, a small guy and so skiny, very easy to bully. Wish i can learn that skills too. Salute to you Sir.🙂
Beautiful, but I would love to see more live action application with less compliant targets so we can see how these drills help in real combat. So amazing to watch this guy though.
Michael Trimble you’re right. Things change dramatically when you have live sparring and a resisting opponent. That’s why all the martial arts which work have Live sparring such as Thai boxing,Bjj,wrestling, boxing etc.
you will never see it in the situation that it is intended to be used in (self defense). so of course it's going to have to be applied theoretically. but this guy was a boxing and sanda champ so he knows the difference between sport and self defense fighting technique
@@fiftyfadesofgrey those aren't true 'martial' systems (meaning for war). those are all sports. again, he knows sport fighting -- in fact, he was quite good at it.
Don’t get fooled , this guy will take you out in seconds. People who say his opponent just stands still and doesn’t fight back are ignorant of his skills. This man is just showing all of the possibilities to take someone out . My teacher did the same thing,he was teaching his students, but when he was sparing with someone it only took a few seconds and you were lying on the floor wondering what happend. Looking at the video ,this teacher looks highly skillful ,a master at his craft. Can he defeat mma fighters? If he sets his mind to it he probably could.
THIS STUFF LOOKS. GOOD. WHEN THE PERSON IS STANDING THERE. BEING COMPLIANT. I WOULD LIKE. TO SEE HIM DO THIS TO A PERSON WHO IS NOT COOPERATING WITH HIM
I agree you should alway pressure test all your stuff. Now, how long can you do MMA. Can you do it when you are when your 50 how about when you are 70? Can MMA work against multiple people? I have NEVER seen a fair fight. What about a knife ? How about a gun? There are many then that can say. Not everyone wants to be a MMA champion. I have seen MMA figures get there butt kick out in the street. So, you have to have a understanding about all your ranges of fighting brother. Dont be quick to judge or underestimate any style of combat.
What most people fail to understand or have never experienced is that first strike by the defender. These guys like all good martial artists that first slap is quite disabling and in the right spot will render most people, unconscious so no real need for all the follow-up stuff. In most cases an attacker would be in so much pain it would slow what they are doing to a snail's pace. I have been involved in Chinese martial arts for over 50 years and have never met anyone who could continue after the first strike by an experienced Kung Fu practitioner esp when jing is invloved. Now I know nothing much happened in this video but bear in mind nobody was being hit for real
Beautiful technique, good video quality, thanks you alot. But i have a question. The instructor, has he ever been in a movie because i think he look very familiar, is he the assassin with incredible knife skill in the movie SPL2: A Time for consequences with wu jing and tonny jaa. Sorry my english writting is not good, hope everyone understand :)

I read all these comments, not just here but over years in general and almost always end up shaking my head. It's not your fault - Hollywood is to blame. I'm 61 years old and have been training since I was 14. I've worked in the security industry for over 35 years, door work for 5 years and now work as a BG to A list celebs. I learnt more in the 5 years in clubs than any class. (REAL WORLD). Two things most people get wrong is, "self-defence" and "fighting." They are two different things, it's not the art or system, it's the person using it. Anyone can always come up with a, "what if." Or a "yeah but." In my humble opinion, Self - defence is; The first 5 to 8 seconds of any situ that gets physical. You must defend yourself from harm, within this time. If you haven't done that, now you're in a "fight." People watch Kung Fu movies and subconsciously try to translate what they see to the real world. Why do you think all these "Kung Fu masters," are getting beat up nowadays? In my experience, you have 5 to 8 seconds to "defend," yourself. You learn almost any of the technics in this vid or any system and "really" know them and you stand a chance. But it's up to you to make it work. Learning to fight, is a totally different thing again. That's not what they're trying to teach you. In my opinion. Stay safe people.
I dont think this is silat..he only take some of the technique in silat and create new move, true silat we can see from leg and knee or we say kekuda or kuda2 and move very calm..sorry if im wrong

Hey guys toldly understand what you are coming form but the instructor had years of training behind his movement though it's just second nature to help but it still ain't is something that's very new the only way I see them learning the style if he set them up in lines and run simple drills of each combination and style of attacks and costly run these drills everyday they come into practice and have bounced against each other so they can learn and understand how to come at an opponent in a hostile environment so it's not like his style is not going to help you is more like it takes years to learn how to hit people in accuracy so think about this more years you train the bear you going to get

But can he fight against a non-compliant demo partner though? No doubt the man is fast and he has (what looks like) decent striking skills. I would like to see him execute these moves in a sparring match.
Those guys critizising have you ever seen a technique working in real life without modification, feeling for timing and intuition. You need to pratice a million times before you can apply it. But it has a lot of very beautiful principles you can recognize if you have a little experience. Otherwise I guess you need a gun and maintain proper distance. Even though I am a great fan of silat and practice the techniques I hope I never need to apply them in real life.
Moves are like flowing water & beautiful like popping(dance) than actual combat... too many moves... unsure if practical in real life combat... Nonetheless, k give Chinese Kungfu a run for money in dominance fot martial movie choreograph, 😅
@Dodadeus Agree but will still need to see how it's applied in a real fight or MMA Certain martial arts like Taekwondo has powerful kicks but usually unable to apply in real fight w/o referee & rules, thus useless... Chinese Kungfu has alot of powerful moves but are largely useless as they require too many in advance knowledge of opponent's next moves, thus only applicable in choreograph movie or (choreography) martial art competitions... Plus, in real fight, our brain wun be able to process so much info, thus basic movements trained to max power are really all tat's needed as we typically rely more on "muscle memory" in real scenario... So, I am interested in how this instructor k effectively break these movements in parts to train students' muscle reflex to automatically apply these Silat moves in real fight, :-)
@Dodadeus What I meant is MMA is not a real fight but most closer to street fighting in a ring setting where different or combined forms of martial arts can be pit against one another, then say regular match, like boxing, taekwondo, etc where fighters must stick to certain techniques or rules which are not observed in street fight, other than not kicking the balls, Lol... Multi-ppl fighting or gang fighting w/ weapons is another lvl or dimension & required a fighter to be trained specially for it which MMA do have but depends if the fighters have practise them. Anyway, unlike traditional thinking, it is actually impossible for most ppl, whether street fighters, MMA, Silat or other forms of martial artists to take on multiple attackers, especially when armed... it belongs to movies, Lol It happens only when an exceptionally skill fighter happen to encounter a no of unprepared or lousy thugs, 🤣 This applies to all martial arts, whether Silat or MMA (which itself is not a school but combination of techniques depending on the MMA fighters' preference which may includes Silat too), 😊 U includes two valid videos as proof but actually there are also other videos which proof MMA fighters or boxer can fight against multiple opponents, MMA vs two armed men, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0To14yXlGHY.html Boxer took out (3 pax) in unarmed gang fight, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vhWrntVzyV4.html I think there are multiple videos that prove our points, so no point posting more, Lol Agreed on the difficult moves in certain schools which is why I question if may be actually applied in real combat, whether one on one, self defense or gang fight
Used to street fight alot in younger days, mostly one on one, one against many (2-5pax) when being attack or involved in gangfight until I was caught... My grandfather was General Secretary of a Chinese martial art school but not really good at it I practised abit of boxing under my Uncle who was also trained in Chinese martial arts but dislike it... they practise Chinese martial arts but went to learn boxing for competition match. Othwrwise, their fighting skills are like street fighting and worse as constrain alot by ring rules, totally useless
