give Fredro his flowers as an mc and actor .. and Onyx needs to be mentioned more.. their first album came out in 92 when i was in 8th grade about to hit high school.. Onyx second album is a gem and people dont know Fredro produced the best song on that album which is my favorite album of theirs but all albums are fire.. remind me of bubble bear coats, blunts and going to NY from Pa. with the homies.. in 1992 Doctor Dre first album was out, Redman first album, Onyx first album and Pac first album.. Hell of a time to be alive and witness the greatness of all these guys.. Ice Cube predator album, Cypress Hill
Nah pac first album came out in 91 bro but you right 92 was a good year when it came to music and it was snoop Dogg first time coming out with the deep cover song
Love this dude, I met him in ozone park on 101 Ave. when I used to live in the neighborhood. I was 16-17 then, he seemed surprised I recognized him & that I basically didn’t know what to say. He says to me hey ma what’s up u want an autograph?! I was like um yeah 🥴😄 he stopped at the corner store across the street from McDonald’s. It was a real genuine cool experience to have a few words with him. I’ll always remember that!
Wanna hear something crazy I lived in east ny at the time not far from there and use to see him when I passed by. I wanted to say wassup one day in the same area but he gave me the ice grill so I kept it pushing lol
That shit made me sad though, cause Spaceman (T Howard’s character) seem like he gone through a lot of shit mentally. And it’s no wonder why that nigga self medicate! You hardly hear about teachers bullying students, you always see students bullying teachers. But luckily the coach had sense to talk to him out of killing his teacher. Spaceman had some kind of sense to go to someone before he would’ve been sent to the big house. He don’t bother nobody and hearing science is his favorite subject? How many black boys you know literally like science other than sports and the streets 🤣? But the coach I fucked with, like some of the boys came to her not only to coach basketball but guidance in a way
Me and my lil bro used to chant that “ it’s time to get live it’s time to represent, sunset park what time is it” just randomly all tha time after we seen the movie lol
@@IShotTupac as far as my personal taste, I completely agree. I do like Onyx more than Wu Tang…But in general, I dont know if id go that far. If we compared all elements to each group I think Wu Tang would cone out on top…but again, me personally, if I could only have one id go with Onyx!
@@gardenstatebosstake ya fish egg hands and make me another sandwich. PS that scene was horrific that lil girl got blown away. Did a whole backflip in the store
You youngins who think Pac only became a legend after he died need to see clips like this, He was the biggest superstar in Hip-Hop when he was alive. Imagine being at your own first movie premiere when your the lead actor and you still in awe of Pac cause he in the building.
Fredro isn’t lying about 2 Pac being the Sun. I remember I went to this industry party in LA after 3 days moving there from Louisiana. This party was so lit 🔥 everyone who was someone was there. The crowd was like the Grammys, Oscars, MYV awards, you name them was in there. I couldn’t believe it coming from a small town in La. with my country ass at the time 😂 Then Pac showed up. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. It was something about his presence. Very captivating. Man, that dude really knew how to party. He wasn’t even on Death Row. Only thing I knew about him was from Juice and Digital Underground. When I tell you he really knew how to get around. He literally took over the party alone. No crew. Just him. Superstar and stars wanted to party with HIM. So he’s dancing with this girl and she was thick as hell (this was before BBL’s) naturally built nice and a big ole butt. 🤣 She was a little bit taller than him (maybe because of them big boots she had on) And I’m standing right next to him dancing with her & she’s throwing it back on him heavy. Man, Pac was slapping her on her behind like he was riding a horse. 😂 He made it look so easy. She knew how to throw it back and he knew how to handle it. My mouth had dropped to the floor & 1000 flies could’ve flown in it. That’s how shocked I was but it was funny 😆 RIP Pac 🕊️ What that man rapped about, he definitely lived it. I’ll never forget that.
Unfortunately we never got a Onyx and Pac record. That would have been fly asf....also they both would have made a great movie together.Something based in ny of course or my hometown chitown joe.
I remember seeing Fredro Starr/FIRE STARR up in the club, rugged af, no security. I yelled to him "FIRE STARR!" because I was loving the album he just dropped. Like a real G, he acknowledged me and went on partying that night. I also met the whole ONYX in Getty Square Yonkers in the record store for their Shut Em Down album release. MUCH LOVE & RESPECT to Fredro Starr & ONYX!
@@WeilerVision For the ONYX "SHUT EM DOWN" album release in Getty Square they gave me an autographed poster with the album(Cassette). I still have photos of it on my wall. Still have the Cassette. Still have FIRESTARR album.. had to buy it like 3 times because people (girls) wanted my copy.
I was an onyx fan up until I seen Sticky attempting to fight a snowboarder on MTV celebrity boxing. It was at that moment I realized they were all just playing a part. Sticky had no hands and literally looked like a chick just swinging. Then later on I learned all of them was backup dancers. Onyx was fugazi as hell and Fredro is like 5’5 smh C’mon son ! (Ed Lover voice)
@@therealityofitall4819 what you mean like funkmaster flex or Keith murray one fuck funkmaster and two keith a lyrical beast but he on some other ish...always been like that now what you gotta say about it?
@@gavins4639how if pac heard who shot ya in jail ? Napoleon said Tupac was planning hit em up and his revenge on puffy and biggie while he was in jail and many people don’t know their was like 5 versions of hit em up . The original hit em up was recorded like A few days after he got out of jail . But it wasn’t official and released untill june 4th 1996
Yea but they recorded it before 96 they was watching the premiere, but they released it to the public 2 years later. Thats how it be with most movies even these days.
@@noahsmith108no that's not how it works, Tupac spent most of 1995 in jail, and came out in late October out of jail and recorded All Eyez On Me in November and... Everything he did at Death row started in October /November of 1995 till he "died" in Sept of 1996
@@noahsmith108I guarantee they didn't spend years making Sunset park bruh. They most likely made it in 95 Premiered it early 96 and it came out to the public April 26 96 to be exact. Fredro just had his years a lil mixed up
@@cortneybrown2995 yea i know they didnt take years on the film I never said they did, and youre right Fredo probably did get his years mixed up, but the main point that i was making was premieres come out way before the movie comes out in the theaters
Why would Suge say I know Russell I know ....."JAY".......JAY wasnt even a factor or president during that time ! Why would Suge say Jay as if Jay had any say say during that time?......LIES! TOTAL LIES! smh.
I don’t think people realize how big of a star this dude was in the 90s & he was an even better actor than he was a rapper either way hell of a talent !
Onyx.one of the best rap groups ever.i still listen to onyx shut em down 1998.a masterpiece of album.fredro star in a amazing mc.queens new york represents.word up son
And that's why my love for Pac has been and will always be. He was a lot of things but most importantly a good man. He could say everything with his words or just a look. Pac was the sun - I think that is the most accurate way I've heard him described. Angelic vibes was Pac.... Suge was dark vibes.
Fredro star is a damn liar Tupac didn't warn him not to signed to Death Row records. I wish Art would have asked Fredro what about the time when Onyx got rob & hog tied in L.A. by some authentic street dudes & what about the rumor that 50 Cent slapped him at some awards show years ago. Fredro star has been for years just a wannabe tough guy.
Personally speaking, I know Fredro. He lived around the corner from from me on 135th street in Rockaway Blvd. Queens. He is one the coolest phucking dudes I ever met. I met him on the Q7 bus I use to take to get to the A train. I had just moved out there living with my pops at the time. When he said that he is loyal, he isn't lying. If he phucks with you and think you are cool, he is a friend to the end. I met him in the late 80's, like from 87to 89. God bless you and your talents my brother !!!
My boys from the crew were on Moesha as well and they used to blow dojah with Fredo all the time . He is a cool ass dude from what my homeboys were telling me . I was supposed to go to Moesha as well but I was like , eh whatever 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember Fredo Starr giving props to Pac in that movie Clockers when he played one of the D-boys on the bench with Mekhi Phifer and Sticky Fingaz. He said he was one of the realest rappers in the game.
He CLEARLY named two different timeframes. He said STRAPPED was out at the same time JUICE came out. Early 90s! The conversation was at the SUNSET PARK PREMIERE years after.
Yo Fredro this your cousin from Philly. Butch Scruggs son. Not sure if you read the comments but respond if possible. We haven't seen each other since the 90s but I have a movie script idea for us to write and star in. Tubi letting independent movies rock. ✌🏿
I liked how he didn't have any shame about fanning over seeing & being around Pac💯. He describes Pac's energy with authenticity 💫 Fredro Star & Onyx deserve their flowers!💐 Onyx is iconic!!!
i caught that too and my first thought was "i didnt know/realize that Pac was fuxxin with Suge and them prior to getting locked up". Then i just went and did some research and saw he got the years mixed a bit. no big deal but i definitely wanted clarity before i ran with a thought.
I mean, maybe. Who knows. The story we been told is not true, that is for certain and I think alot of people are starting to figure it out. @@MichaelThePlaya50
