The Rebuilder is an interesting idea. I used to be able to waltz through every subject....except maths. Turns out I had ADHD but wasn't diagnosed until I was 38 yrs old. Now I know this and that ADHD can often really kick you hard in the maths, i'm looking for an opportunity to have a do over of my maths education. The Rebuilder sounds ideal so it'll go on the list of possibilities! Nicely done.

PS I am 73 and not a maths teacher and never was - but still remember my 'O' level from 1967 in the UK🙂🙂

Hahaha, I’m so out of practice! I just did it in my head quick and screwed up the exponents…multiplying vs adding. Great video as usual!

i used the 2 1/3. didn't convert to 7/3. thanks for the lesson.

Surely not the final answer though as you can simplify by removing a common factor of 2t. My final expression was 2t(5t^4/3+1)?

I got it right but didn't trust my answer. I just used the distributive property and then added the exponents.

This whole problem makes no sense. This expression is not equal to anything in particular. It would if we inserted particular value of t. Otherwise, one can change its form, but there is no clear answer which firm is “better”. In applied math it would depend on what we would want to do with it and what is the range of possible values of t.

Kindly, please could you not use 't' as a variable. I understand it's irrelevant mathematically, but fot learning purposes handwriting often confuses t and +.
