Actually huge 3rd tip that I haven't seen talked about enough. I've been starting my warmups by literally just warming up my eyes and it's been making a huge difference. Ottr has an eye training video for this, and there are higher fps downloadable versions out there. Highly recommend it.
the third tip is the best one. I can say going a bit deeper is learning to just LOOK at the head, your hand and crosshair will follow. you'd be surprised how many more headshots you'll get just making sure you are tracking WHERE the head is rather than trying to get the crosshair TO the head.
Here's another one I noticed some people (including me) do: Compensate for recoil before you shoot Sounds silly, but it happens. Initially, you were going to get an easy headshot. But, you pulled down an anticipation of the recoil, so you got a chest or nut shot instead. The way how I trained myself to fix this is to first fire a shot or two then compensate for recoil.
If you really want to break the crouch habit go into console and bind whatever your crouch key is to kill and that was you will get punished every time to crouch - helps break the muscle memory
thank you so much, im 2k elo player and been stack for a while, these three habits really talked to me and now im working on improving it. thanks once again you're a hero!
Hahaha thank you brother I’m glad I gave you some new stuff to think about. These are things that have fucked with me a lot too and I’m trying to focus on them too!
In regards to the first habit you mention, having this urge to "immediately" crouch and flick to his head, one of my greatest concerns is counter-strafing. I can't easily wrap my head around the fact that my bullets go nowhere if my character isn't fully stopped, and at the same time I feel like if I "waste" my time to counter-strafe, I basically give him a free kill. Long story short, if I don't properly counter-strafe i actually give him a free kill.
I totally understand. Counterstrafing is a super weird mechanic and using crouch can be a comfortable way to get around it. Unfortunately counter strafing is just something you’ll have to get better at with time. YPRAC peek mode is great for practicing it. But also I still utilize crouching for similar reasons- when running in a diagonal or just in a way that is difficult to counterstrafe, it’s much easier to crouch and commit to the fight
Really liked this video, and I love the tennis analogy. I always tell my friends that in a lot of ways, playing tennis feels like playing a game like CSGO, or esports in general. Performing well in those can be tricky
keep getting your vids recommended, like this one the config one, and the smokes one. Your vids are very informative while straight to the point and entertaining. Not to mention you bring up clips to prove your point, you are going to keep getting bigger, sick vid man.
I think i got your vids recommended cos i watched alot of AustinCS's short form csgo tips vids and i honestly was so surprised when i saw your channel is basically new, you'll easily have alotta subs if you keep this up, good shit my g
Your videos have the most legit practical tips I have ever seen of any "tips and tricks" CS videos ever. And I have been playing since 1.6. Like, when it actually was the only CS game.
On the last advice, using your eyes. i totally agree. there is so much "clutter" on screen which distracts. i often get distracted by my weapon and its movement. when forcing myself to only track my cross hair, my hit rate goes way up.
Loved the video bro, I like how the video itself is also entertaining. Ive been struggling with the 3rd tip the most recently and it helps to know what exactly have I been doing wrong.
Really useful video, keep up the good content - Defo found myself a while back crouching too much, had to change the bind for a few games to remove the habit
i have such a problem with crouching, even though i normally win the first aim duel another person will come and i get stuck unable to move away. it's SUCH a hard habit to get rid of even in DM, and i seem to default back to doing it again later. also i normally just hit some random place before actually aiming which is a hard habit to get rid of since it's reflex. i relate to all 3 of these, good vid.
Its so true the point about practice vs in game. When I dm I run around destroying with my movement but in a game I think that there is so much else I am trying to focus on I revert back to old crouching habits and unfavourable duels.
Tip #3 works across every sport that involves hand-eye coordination. If you focus on where you want to hit or where you want the ball to go instead of your body or whatever else you will start performing much bettwr at everything
Very nice video ; I couldn't help but notice that by the end of the video you were already back to full crouch mode in the background haha. Big up brother, that's my main issue from those too, at least YOU don't do it with pistols...
One video of yours and i already got better by 200% im not kidding everything u said was what i wanted to hear i started playing csgo finally after finding your videos man, life saver basically
Hey earned a sub! That was an extremely useful video and it confirmed some of my own suspiciouns about my aiming troubles, thanks, will keep an eye out for new vids.
To feed on your first 2 points: n0thing has a short "how to reduce stress" or something like that. Dont shoot as soon as you see someone. Jiggle and try to make them miss you. When you realise a how long it takes people to actually kill you, then you understand that you have quite a decent amount of time to settle your aim and secure the kill. And the 1st point, movement is key. Counterstrafing and crosshair placemente should be a priority way before flicks. N0thing illustrates both points very clearly since he is an elite player. Both videos are on his most popular shorts. Not trying to take credit away from you man. Quite the contrary, giving more "evidence" to your points! Love your content!
While watching the video I saw you using your smoke & flash combo at banana multiple times (mentioned in your other video) and it shows that it works perfectly. Imma try it in my next games.
the eye aiming thing is so true i recognised it in kovvaks aim trainer after a while. but im very guilty of just not looking at my enemy properly esp without my glasses on. that level of focus is what gets me hard stuck
the last tip I do without thinking. My monitor isn't centered to my face but my right eye. It sounds silly and I know its not a gun but it helps me focus on my crosshair and aim
Mannn!!!! So pumped. You can say you were a day 1 when I got 5 billion subscribers 😎 but Fr tho thanks for your support brother I’m glad you like the vids
I always called it hyper focusing and figured it was the reason why some snipers actually survived wars like Vietnam. Not everyone is capable of absorbing this much detail in their environment, but when practiced it will certainly make you a boss cs player!
The 3rd point is HUGE I have that problem sometimes that I wiff easily because I'm more concerned on where my crosshair is, or looking at angles that im not aiming at than actually looking at what I have in front of my crosshair
Third point correlates to how eye movement is quite juttery when you're looking around an area, it'll flick place to place, but when you're watching an object move it becomes smooth. My bad habit is switching to my knife when I shouldn't, maybe it's an adhd thing but I find it really satisfying. I'll get a kill, other positions unknown, in my head I justify it as a quick way to reposition (if I actually do it intentionally) and then get traded. All to easy to do cause I have it on mwup but that's why I have it there, cause it's so seamless 🤣
Absolutely! I like to picture enemy heads as red dots in my head, helps me keep track of that one object as you said. I do that hella too man lol. Most often for the quick burst of movement and def just outta habit- really tough one to break
that last tip is so underrated. I learned through time that when I look directly at the point I want to shoot (enemy's head most of the time) before shooting, it's so much easier to aim perfectly. Try this in aim_botz guys, instead of flicking fast to a random next bot doing it automaticaly without focusing and thinking about it, look at the one you want to kill, look at his head and then aim at it, you'll feel the big difference on the spot.
3rd tip is legit, even if I hit too many headshots because of above average crosshair placement / muscle memory, I know Im not always staring at the enemy´s head I think Im always staring at his body. I think this happen to most people xD
Crouch needed for xantares peek on default spots or wide swing against awpers, also you can crouch all the way if you peek with right elbow, its easy to kill a guy who peeks you with left elbow. Also one more advice is to learn crosshair placement, you should expect when people can shoulder peek or wide peek you (depending on right or left elbow peek) but thats too much tbf.
This is soo helpful tnx my guy btw can you do some smoke vids for dust2 im new in csgo only played like 300h and im gold nova tnx to your tips my utility skills are getting better and what sens do you recommend for 800 dpi:)
Thanks man! I’m glad theyre helpful. I got a great flash for dust loaded up for tomorrow! I’ll come up with something else good for dust here pretty soon.
Also! I play on .8 in game 800 dpi (640 edpi) which is pretty low. Assuming you have a good amount of mouse space, anywhere from .8 to 2 is a good range. When I was trying to find my best sensitivity, I looked at what pros were using and tried those out. After a while I just felt like lower sense is better for me, but the average for pro players is around 1.1 in game (870 edpi)
All good brother I love it! Stereo headphones with no surround sound- surround sound often messes with footsteps and makes it harder to determine the location of stuff. I also set 3d audio processing to on in the csgo settings.
3rd point when my teammates feel overwhelmed by the opponents i always tell them to focus on their crosshair for a brief moment as we tend to forget to look at it =D
One more thing I struggle with is looking at the radar way too long. The amount of times I died after shifting my focus from my crosshair to the radar for a split second...
Oh man same. Part of that can be lack of comms from our team so we feel the need to rely on the radar to know what’s going on. But there are def times I gotta remind myself to focus on whatever im looking at rather than the radar
If you use aimbotz- practice keeping a tight spread by spraying at walls. Spray at the wall over and over and try to get all the bullet holes into consistently small areas. Then vary the ranges that you do this with!
got a sub for that last tip- I have ADHD and unless I’m 100% focused, it’s impossible to play fps games like csgo instead of more dynamic games like Apex legends
It’s a great question! There’s no clear-cut answer, but generally you only want to crouch when you want to fully commit to the fight that you’re in. Along with that, crouching is super great for peeking and hard clearing angles. There’s definitely more than that, but my main point is that the habit of immediately crouching when we start shooting is something important to break- I catch myself doing it all the time :)
Love the video and your knife! I have the same one! Mine is 99% fade...100% was not available when i bought mine. I imagine they are pretty rare. Shroud is also in the cool knife club......😊
Thank you!! Ahhh you lucky duck bro, I bet that looks fire. I think mine is like 86-87%. But I did get lucky cuz I bought it about two days before CS2 was announced :D
@@WilsonCS2 yours looks amazing too! Can’t wait for CS2 they will look so good! My in game name is Blueshade if you ever want to add me…. I think you’ll see we have similar tastes in skins lol…..
hi mate love your work can you make a video on how to position your keyboard because I think my keyboard positioning is affecting my movement im sure others will like the video aswell. Cheers
When teammates told me to go and play Minecraft i asked why. I told them that i do not have Minecraft and have never played it so it seems like a very strange thing to say. We are playing the global offensive now why would i do that. I do know the founder Marcus but we like other kind of games. When he is free he like csgo, maybe i should download minecraft and test it but would that not be cringe?
Yes! Check out my config vid (my crosshair commands are in the description:) Never manually write a config again.. thank god | CSGO SETTINGS ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LuQ0vNcg7vs.html
