THE 3 THINGS YOU NEED TO PASS YOUR JOB INTERVIEW
First thing. Number one; stop memorizing your answers. That's right. Stop memorizing the answers. Don't go into a job interview with your list of answers that you downloaded off the Internet or you downloaded from my site, whatever it is, and you think you're just going to go in there and memorize what I say, word for word, and then go into a job interview and try to say that.
That doesn't work, because (I'll tell you why it doesn't work). When you're in the job interview, you're in a different environment. You're not at home where it's relaxed and you can memorize things in a calm way. When you're in the interview setting, it gets nervous in there. It gets tense. There are other people there asking you questions; you're out of your environment.
Watch the video to see how I do this and then apply it to your situation.

Can’t emphasize tip #2 enough. You gotta analyze that sucker and deconstruct it. So many see the job description as just that but there is so much insight in there that will help you with the whole job application process

I am not looking for a job, but am now on the other side doing the interview. This has been very enlightening. I view the candidates more critically as well as more compassionately. I try to look past the nervousness and look at the answers. I also try to re-ask a question if the initial answer did not give me the info I was looking for. If they don’t pick up on that, well….. Thanks Don.

Go on as many interviews as possible. I went on interviews for jobs making 1/5th my salary - just to get the experience. I turned down several jobs, but gained valuable experience. You need to be NATURAL in an interview.

Great content. I have a question, regarding the second tip, 'Read the job descriptions'. What if, I'm a fresh grad and didn't have all of what it takes as listed in the job description, but I am willing to learn for it. Can you share some tips on that for the interview? Because practically I may not competent for that position but there's always the first try for everything. So now I want to convince them about that? Hope you could help me with these.

Hi Don, love your videos but may i ask, how do you address the human factor in interviews especially when the person who is interviewing you does not have a clue about your role, the complex nature of the role and once you start to explain complex technical solutions, you loose them by the second word?
@DonGeorgevich
@DonGeorgevich 4 года назад
If someone is interviewing you who has no idea what the role Is about, then it’s your job to adapt and talk to them on their level. If you insult them then you’re probably not going to go any farther in

Hi, thanks for your videos, I really appreciate your work. I have a question: I did the last job interview on site in Switzerland just before coronavirus, they said that they will answer me after two or three weeks " they just wait to see another candidate, we were two at the end" now two weeks and a half left, I don't know if I send them an email or should I wait, regarding to the situation in Switzerland with coronavirus is little bit complicated in the country... I don't want to seem selfish and ask for my job when people around them are dying... at the same time I want to know how will they react with the current situation... ? Thanks if you answer me as soon as possible.
