They should offer the options on all thier vehicles, I bought 2022 bmw x3 xdrive msport 3.0, I didn't want the 6 cylinder engine and none of these options were available on a 55k car, that a shame because I would have ordered them
I purchased a ‘22 x7 in June and I can’t believe I am STILL learning about the functionality in all these packages. Some I haven’t used yet. So THANK YOU for this and your other videos.
Remote start is a MUST in the US you can remotely start the vehicle from the key fob, Apple Watch, or BMW app activate cabin temperature and heated cool seats
I guess it’s an American thinking where environmental issues don’t play a role at all. In Europe we can order an auxiliary heating/cooling function with an extra gas tank. Can be activated via the key fob or an app and the car doesn’t need to be started. Remote start is strictly forbidden in Europe due to environmental regulations. I heard that some US states already banned the remote start function. But hey, „Ubi non unde petitur, ibi non iudex“ (no plaintiff, no judge). 😊
I love the glass controls but you can get them as a stand alone option. Don’t see much value in the rest of the Professional Package. Premium package on the other hand has remote start (key in hot climate) and wireless charging which, according to the website builder, you can’t get as options on X5
I got my 2023 X5 M50i a few weeks ago. I focused more on performance so I added the Dynamic Handling Package, 22 inch wheels in black, and the extended leather. Extremely happy with all of them. Ordering a 330e this weekend, with all of the packages noted here. Hybrids aren't known for performance, so make it driver focused.
Hi there, thanks you for an informative video. Qq for you. Do you know if oxide grey for I5 X 40 is same shade as I7 or is the oxide grey shade different on I7?
Do you think 2024 model of x5 or 5 series will have the infotainment full screen(big screen ) like the one in 2023 3 & 7 series. Becautgats what is stopping me to buy “The 5” now and wait for another year.
Correct I would wait for the 2024 I believe it will most likely be released at the end of 2023 and most certain that it will have the curve display. There are already some spy photos of the new X5 and five series.
Does BMW currently have or plan to have "night vision" as an option? I recently purchased an Escalade for my work and it has an infrared camera that will detect the heat signature of people or animals far beyond the range of the headlights. This is very important when you live in deer country and I thought an excellent feature.
No word on bringing back the night vision feature for BMW. It does however have some pretty cool safety systems that can detect pedestrians crossing and apply the brakes, im sure it should work for a deer too =)
Couldn't find videos explaining exactly these packages in detail.. thanks a lot! Which parts/modes do you find most useful from the Driver's Assistance Professional package? Right now, due to supply chain problems, it is not possible to order BMW 3 with the Driver's Assistance Professional package in Germany, only Driver's Assistance + Speed Limiter with Stop & Go function. I was wondering if this is really such a big deal or if these two are sufficient. The differences are that the Pro package supports assistance up to 210km/h and non-pro only up to 160km/h, plus the Pro package has active lane keeping while the non-pro only has lane leaving warning with steering wheel vibrations.
Anytime Jakub! Glad I was able to help you! I did not know about the shortages there in regards to the package. Honestly the traffic jam stop and go is the most important feature to me. Drivers assistance is good when there is no traffic on the road. But I will always find myself using it when I'm stuck in traffic because it does stress me out and the feature helps reduce that stress. The 160kmh is more than enough for the package but I will say the lane keeping assist is also a must. If you ask me, I would wait for the PRO. BMW is having supply chain issues, but they have been resolving it rather quickly with many of them such as the touch screen shortage was only for about 3 months, and the wireless charger was about 7 months. So if you have the option to wait, i would!
Yes, I do mention in one of my recent videos how BMW skimps out on some standard features unlike the other brands. In a way it is nice because no 2 BMWs are the same =)
Just got a new 22 plate G23 / 4 series cpnvertable that was a BMW demo vehicle so its got the comfort & tech plus packs and the m Sport plus pack and lighting options so iv a lot to learn compared to the 20plate C class convertable it's replaced so I'm gonna be making use of loads of your videos lol
I have got 1 question to kick off with and prob gonna sound stupid to anyone who's owned one of these but I couldn't find out how to put the cruise control on without it having to be in assisted driving mode where it brakes and trys to stop you changing lane without indicating etc how do you just turn on cruise without any other assistance please As stated I have techplus and Driving assistance pro if that makes a difference in this instance
How does driving assist work when someone changes lanes in front of you very closely. I know my Audi has a little bit of a delay and seems to not react right away
It’s about the same. The vehicle won’t immediately react to it unless it’s a potential danger. It does this on purpose to avoid and jerky braking or acceleration and keeping the system nice and smooth.
Hey Ginny, great to hear from you again. Simply make sure, windows are closed (sunroof etc). Make sure wipers are fully off (not in auto) and lastly when you start hearing the beeping sounds when the brushes are cleaning your car, press the parking assistance button to turn off the sounds (P with a Cone button, near the shifter)
Hey Celialee! I do have one of the park assistance feature and drivers assistance! Check it out. Self Park ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hJX9f2NQhps.html Self Drive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FtauBmUQ7Ak.html
We have a 2020 X3, was on toll road in Mexifornia returning from a gun show in Phoenix. Decided to test adaptive cruise control. Pea fog that at times limited visibility to 15 yards or so. Set the speed to 95 MPH. And sure enough would slow the car when it detected a car in front of me even though I could not see it.
Sorry but parking assistant professional is just an overrated party trick. You don’t need it. My wife’s car has it. I just back up like normal using the reverse camera and mirrors.
this i have these expensive features with my 2022 X4 M40I that I don't need "parking assistant" and they did not give me the heated/Ventilated Seats😡they want me to pay extra
In the traffic jam mode (assist plus) you don't have to touch the wheel. If you do get one of the new BMWs with highway assistant, they increased the speed up to 85 mph where you do not have to touch the wheel.
Yes a lot of stock honda's have this feature and it's great to have. I find myself using it everyday, but it's mainly only used if you do a lot of highway driving.
