His “power spread” seems perfect for our program philosophy. Lebby was perfect for the transition and the kind of players we had recruited. Now that we have recruited more size and power, this new philosophy should be great.

Well with this wide receiver group, lebby would have had much more success than his previous seasons. Still expect short passes and more runs, and play action with shots down the field.

I sure hope so. We all get it that the no huddle can catch teams off guard, but having 30 second possessions just isn't smart football. We need to treat speed like a baseball pitcher, and be willing to mix it up.

I fully believe the ceiling is 10-2 for the regular season, floor is 6-6. All dependant on the O-Line play/Jackson Arnold's ability to play at the level he needs to play at.

Do it like the Champion's League in Europe. Sort every team based on previous year's record into four buckets of four teams. Each year we draw two from each bucket. Each division gets two of the top four teams, two of the next four, etc.

Best way to do SEC divisions would be to do an old school playground dodgeball draft. Whoever played for the title last year are captains and they pick the schools in their division. Now that would be must see TV!

“Capped” probably means they set a limit on the scoring margin allowed to be calculated per game. Ex: set a limit of 40 points max per game. That way teams don’t have incentive to keep running up the score in blowout games.

I wonder if OU's history of foreign players was at all a factor for Fasusi and his family. We have been recruiting international players in many sports, for decades now. It makes you wonder if we are uniquely equipped for dealing with issues they might have, based on our experience of the past.

well you gents are absolutely correct on the filling the lineman problem. but, the reason you got fasusi is because you had two linemen that that left with a year of eligibility left and still went in the first round! word gets around to other linemen "hey, oklahoma is the place to be!" this will be an absolute plus going forward.

Gabe, What you want is the random draw system that is used to place teams in the Group Tables of the UEFA Champions League. Where there are multiple tiers of team draws. That way it avoids one group table being stacked with 4 heavyweights. It's difficult to describe in text form. But once you see it you would say yeah that, bring that over to the SEC.

I still really want to see a lot of Taylor Tatum getting motioned out of the backfield. Everyone we play would have to key on that. 2 backs with a motion out of the backfield for a guy with that kind of acceleration would be dangerous. Also getting creative with our qb depth could be useful. Lineup Hawkins out wide for some trick plays. Could be cool in some of these big time, close games.
