I only wear combat or lace-ups. I tried to wear chelsea, bought different types, non of them fits me. I can try and try to make them work, i’ll just be uncomfortable wearing it. My piece of advice, if you just don’t like them, don’t buy them. You’ll end up looking dumb while you tried to be cool. Be comfortable in what you wear, if you like it, the other will too

Those clunky ones look stupid, and chelsea's are like the polo shirts of shoes: if you pull on shoes like socks it looks like you are lazy, just as polo wearers can't iron a proper shirt. Try good Spanish heeled leather ankle boots instead. Steal m from the woman section, and they will love you in it!

Go a 100$ more to the redwing area and that’s even better but maybe less refined Go to the 300$s and you get lifetime boots (basically for the average persons usage) think Parkhurst, grant stone, Allen Edmonds, caswell, Christian Daniel, Bordon Columbia If you go higher the quality starts to plateau but the HEFT and durability really increase with whites Truman nicks Wesco viberg etc Yes all expensive but none are fast fashion all made with quality materials and construction that’s worth your money. Even one pair of those ~200$+ boots will last your your whole life (depending on lifestyle, like a Thursday won’t hold up to construction/blue collar work or hardcore hiking for many years)

You know you could just buy real boots that will last a lifetime right? I mean if you are going to spend north of 400 it makes sense for them to be be resoleable, made with a quality leather and above average craftsmanship?
