I respect your opinion on these different cars vs the Cayman however I have owned a new mustang V8 manual mustang and there still is no comparison to the Cayman. I have had my 2008 Porsche manual Cayman bought new and would not sell it , even though I get complimentary comments on it literally every time I take it out. As I have always said, anyone can own a corvette, but NOT everyone can own a Porsche.
Cayman and Miata - they are both special cars but in different ways. I've looked at the 360. The price difference did not scare me too much but the cost of keeping it serviced did, especially the F1 automatic version. Mustangs - love them but I'd really miss the Cayman if I traded for a Mustang. Trading for a 911 - always tempting but I love the mid-engine of the Cayman. Hmmmm. I guess a 360 with the gated shifter is still in the running. We just need bigger garages (and wallets) and get one of each! LOL. Good video. Thanks for posting.
996 turbo or a gt350, it’s funny how you say a 996 would needs the ims done before you can buy one, but your Caymen is also prone to this. But the problem is entirely blown out of proportion. Very unlikely especially in daily driven cars.
I don't get it - you said "cars I could trade in my Cayman for if it wouldn't cost me anything extra"(or equivalent). But then you compare the Cayman with Ferrari 360, 996 GT3(?) and 1980's 911 - which are all a lot more expensive than the Cayman. Both in procurement and maintenance. I just don't see any of the cars mentined being similar in price-range or maintenance/ownership. Don't get me wrong, I like many of your videos but this one I just didn't understand.🙂
He's saying if price wasn't an issue and they were all theoretically priced the same. In other words it's only about the car itself, exclusive of how much each one costs.
What’s your take on the new(er) Miata RF manual? - 2019 and above with the bump in horsepower. I hear many saying they like it a bit better than the cayman. I don’t have an opinion since I haven’t driven one.
I just coincidentally saw a news report on a Tesla catching fire in a parking lot unattended an hour ago lol! Teslas don't compare in my opinion. Tesla has build quality issues in my opinion. Open up the doors and look around and you'll notice spots that weren't even painted.
3 cars you would trade your Porsche Cayman for? How about a real Porsche... just an idea :)))) . unless you want an SUV (than get a Cayenne) get a Porsche 911... as I said, a real Porsche
