Glad you got to go home and glad you still have a job with Ford. I know a lot of white-collar folks at Ford may soon be out of a job due their ongoing restructuring. But that is nothing new with almost every large company. I'm presuming the pick-up is toast but I'm here for the Cayman stuff anyway since I own a 987.2. Good luck in the move and all future endeavors - thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Ford wastes a lot of money. If Ann Arbor was the greatest city, more people would be trying to live there, but that's not reality. And that fact is an objective measure, not the subjective criteria of a magazine content producer.

Ann Arbor has one of the hottest real estate markets in the Midwest because so many people want to live in the city. Prices up 8.7% in the last year (compared to 6.5% in Austin, 3% in San Francisco and 2.4% in New York City), very favorable list to sale price ratio for sellers and very low time on the market. High density real estate is being built at breakneck speeds in the city and it’s still getting more expensive to rent and it’s very hard to buy a home unless you make an offer high and fast. The only reason more people don’t move to Ann Arbor isn’t because they don’t want to, it’s because people are getting priced out since there’s such high demand to move there.
