Both are true. Mankind is dead in it's sin meaning it is enslaved to sin and can do nothing to earn salvation. However, the image of God in humans is not lost or dead. It's broken. It needs to be restored through Jesus. Washing implies renewal. There is so much beautiful texture to the gospel and various terminology to explain what Jesus accomplished at Calvary.
Thank you for this. My five year old son was asked to preach at church, and he preached on telling others about Jesus by using the three circles. My brother introduced him to the strategy, and we watched this many times to get ready.
There are many formulas in our day to share the gospel. We have to choose one if it helps and go with it. I believe God gave me one which works in our town before I even heard of the others. Obviously God is using these things to get us launched to help us to share the gospel.
Great presentation. I appreciate that you begin with offering to pray for someone and taking time to listen to his/her story. I think it is important that we not view these as not just obligatory hoops to jump through before being able to share. These two steps are opportunities for the person to feel loved, valued, and accepted and to see that we genuinely care about them more than fulfilling our agenda. They help us better understand and relate to them, but they also help prepare them to hear what we have to share. If you use this tool, please don't value getting through the 3 Circles presentation above caring for the person, even if that means taking much longer than expected (maybe even waiting for a subsequent meeting) to get to the presentation. Two other encouragements. Ask God to help you tailor the presentation to the person you are sharing with. For example, many non-Westerners come from a very different worldview that is rooted in honor-shame. Consider how you might adjust the presentation if/when presenting to people who may come from that type of background. Second, be ready to share specific scripture references that clearly support what is being shared. Many people may not think highly of the Bible, but even for some of them, the Bible helps validate our message. It communicates that these ideas are not my own, but are rooted in a very long-standing tradition. I hope many learn and use this presentation to share with others.

Once you receive your salvation as a free gift works need to happen. Works are proof of your salvation. Believing alone doesn't save you. Even demons believe Jesus exists but that doesn't mean they're saved
This is a very helpful and simple way to explain the gospel with our friends and family and it also includes the challenge for them to also go. Jesus did not die to restore us back to Gods design but to restore us back to God himself. You think that is what you are declaring there there is a vast difference.
Lacks sin and repentance, this is a very safe message and that is the problem with messages like this, the sinner needs to know they have sinned against a Holy and just God, sin is the transgression of the Law (10 Commandments) and they are heading to hell not brokenness. Jesus preached more about hell than all the apostles and prophets because that is what sinners will be cast into. The Law is written in all our hearts (Romans 2:15) it convicts the person, once they hear the bad news they will receive the good news of Jesus who bore God's wrath on the cross that was meant for us. The 3 circles is very safe and incomplete evangelistic message. Tell people the truth Jesus said unless you repent you will likewise perish. John the Baptist Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come. Jesus said FEAR Him who destroys both body and sole in Hell. It takes love and boldness to share the true gospel, not the 3 watered down circles.
Yes this is so sad. It puts all the responsibility on US to get it right. Armenian to the core. This is not good news it is a call to works. God has reconciled all creation to himself, and is in the process of calling us into this reconciliation by the power of HIS faith.

This is not a gospel presentation. The bridge, is not a gospel presentation. Why can't the gospel just be repeated as Christ declared it? Mk. 1:14-15, gospel. He himself said gospel. Mt. 24:14. Paul too, Acts28:31 Thy kingdom come, gospel. Try the gospel for a radical change.

So in other words someone makes a nice rocking chair and someone sits in it and spends his days rocking along. One day he leaves and finds an old broken rockin chair. He finds he has many problems with this chair because it just does not work properly. One day he decides to go back to hos original chair that the great chair maker made for him. And now he can again spend his days rocking to his hearts content. But not only that he needs to tell others to go sit in the good rocking chairs and leave the broken one behind.
