The "core" or midline as I prefer to call it has always been the hot topic of training for any and all aspects of fitness and sport. This video contains 3 of the staple exercises from the PPA library.
1) Single Leg Pallof Press/Chop
2) Kettlebell Deadbug
3) Hollow body hold/rocks
These movements work under a few distinct concepts. First, they of course task the tissues of the abdomen (core) that are responsible for vertical jumping. Secondly, all of these exercises create a need for global tension/bracing which has a huge carry over to improvements in joint stability, breathing and elements of power application.
Rep/Set Scheme:
1) 3-5 Sets of 10-12/leg
2) 3-5 Sets of 16-20 movements per leg
3) 3-5 Sets of 8-12 rocks
