Great video!! Been working on frogging and learning to skip a frog. I fish from the bank and walk around with two setups. 7’2-7’4” H with 50 lb braid for long casts and then 7’0” MH with 40lb braid which I use for skipping. I fish light pad cover and overhanging trees.Currently saving up to upgrade my reels to the lews KVD because of the dual brake system. The dual brakes allow so much more adjustability so I can transition to skipping / flipping and bomb casts easier. Only fish two frogs popping pad perch / smaller spro popping frog and then spro bronzeye 65 and 60.
We don't have wide weed areas around here. 90% of the time I'm using 15 or 30lb braid sometimes with a 15lb/20lb mono/fluoro leader and bent out hooks to avoid having to do the 6 rods thingy. Sometimes it gets sketchy and you got to close in or wade out some. So if you aren't fishing those 20ft-100ft wide weed areas then 50/65lb braid is not necessary. #1 thing is don't try and set the hook immediately, that's sure way to miss them. #2 don't look away from your retrieve, that's another good way to miss them or end up having to winch the fish and 20lbs of weeds in.
