Nice bro.. First car buyers with 3 cylinder will not impact as they don't have experience on 4 cylinder, I have driven alto 800 and then ritz, now tigor its really good powerful car after 50kmph , since 3 cylinder tigor the low speeds around 10 to 30 km Is really irritating... but not all 3 cylinder are same, eg skoda and vw 3 cylinder are more refined and Equivalent to 4 cylinder.

Thanks for the useful analysis. When the manufacturer saves cost by cutting out one cylinder (in 3 cyl eng), how much of that money is reflected in the sales price? Do the customers really benefit from this so called cost cutting & engine trimming?

Nice comparison. Thanks for the details. I was in deep confusion on selecting my first car and finally thinking of Tiago. My priorities are in below order 1. Safe car 2. Low budget 3. Good mileage and low maintenance 4. Good engine and long lasting 5. Capable of long drives 6. Compact car 7. Powerful enough to drive in occasional hill station trips Is there any other car other than Tiago that can fulfill most of my priorities? I had Amaze as my other option but was thinking should I really spend another 2 lakhs or Tiago engine is good enough to save my 2 lakhs. Your thoughts bro??

Tiago loses in power, fuel efficiency, hill drives. Suggest you to check the Figo for your requirements. It ticks all the boxes of your requirements

@@motowagon sorry I missed one important thing, I was looking for automatic car so that my wife also drives and I will feel more comfortable for city drive. As far I know, Figo doesn't have automatic cars. That's why I was sticking with Tiago and Amaze.

If you are mentioning Amaze petrol CVT, it won't be that powerful in the hills. If the power requirement can be compromised, Amaze CVT will be the best choice for easy maneuvering for sister.

@@prsnaa I took Tiago XZA+ delivery 2 months back and disappointed with city mileage in Bangalore. Getting only 8-9kmpl in Bangalore and highways getting 20kmpl, other than that car is amazing in all aspects.luckily I will never take car for office else it would have been a disaster decision. Any tips to improve city mileage?? My neighbour getting 14kmpl in Bangalore City which is 2 years old Swift AMT

When the tyre size increases, the road grip increases which make more traction so that it requires more Torque. This will lower the fuel efficiency

Aspire's 3 cylinder engine has an additional balancer shaft and a dual mass flywheel to contain the vibrations caused by the missing cylinder. It works like a normal 4 cylinder enhancing the Performance and drivability

Hi Team!! It’s again me😀 It’s quite surprising that you are not considering the German made 1 litre 3 cylinder turbo charged TSI engine which is rev happy and fuel efficient at the same time. This engine is a true fab which decorates c segment strong German sedans Vento & Rapid. Out of my experience I’m telling you that this 3 cylinder engine is having a very good refinement, rev happy and fuel efficient at the same time. Did you purposely avoided to quote this engine as it is not justifying your advantages & disadvantages? 😝

There is a performance lag in 1 lite when compared with 1.5 German made cars.. just drive and see the old one first and try new ones you will feel a hell lot of difference
