I tried a NO COMPLAINING challenge for 3 Days - here's what happened. Not only did I learn some things about myself I didn't realize, but it sparked a lot of great conversation and thoughts that I wasn't expecting.
Do you hate being so numb all the time? We did too. We decided to make videos helping people wake up and live fiercely by intentionally choosing love daily.

Love this! My personal challenge is noy just to lessen complaining but also to compliment more frequently. (Genuine compliments, ofc) Thanks for the lessons!

Glad you enjoyed! 🧡 Giving compliments is such an amazing way to choose love, and provides a nice little human connection

I love challenge videos! Definitely agree around the 7 min mark that we need to find a balance. Sometimes when I complete a huge complaining session, I feel some negative vibes and try to balance it by saying as many positive things as I can. This video is a great reminder for trying to keep that negativity in check!

Mmm love that. Balancing it out by stating some positive statements and affirmations is such a great way to make sure we at least hit that 51% (of our day being more on the side of love) great share!

Well, first off, I really don’t think that any complaint that starts off with “Holy Balls” should count against your total. It’s too whimsical. That automatically turns it from a complaint to a… forceful observation. 😅 Secondly, I do think it’s good to be mindful about the type of complaint. Some things are trivial, personal, unchangeable, etc. So getting mired down in them accomplishes nothing but dragging down your overall mindset. However, other things are societal, unjust, or abusive. If we see those things happening, to us or to anyone else, we SHOULD speak up. However, people often don’t because they “don’t want to make a fuss” or “don’t want to be seen as a complainer.” Basically, I think the thing we should ask ourselves before speaking is this - what purpose will this serve? Will this help alleviate my frustration? Will this help to right an injustice…or even just let me leave a situation knowing I spoke up for myself? Or will my words let another person know that they aren’t alone, that someone else sees what’s being done to them as wrong and is willing to speak up for them? If yes, it’s good to go forward. However, for things - like bad drivers or the weather - that no one has much control over, it is often best to just distract yourself by visions of the other party racing for the toilet! 😂 At least you get a good laugh out of it! 😁

💪 well said! Love this thank you. Yeah, I’m realizing more after filming this and discussing more that it’s all about the energy behind the “complaint” - there’s a different feeling we get when complaining about our server versus bringing up things like you said that we ought to stand up for and speak up for. And not standing up against injustices comes from a place of fear anyway and not of love. Just some more thoughts out loud 😄 it’s definitely been eye opening for me

@@choosing_love Yes! Exactly! It’s like…is my intention with this to make the situation better? Awesome! To vent? Great, but do it intentionally and don’t spiral. To wallow? HARD NOPE!
