Time for a competitive family outing. Should do a point system challenge w/ him. Each fish equals a certain amount, quickest to get a fire going, first to get up in the morning. I think that'd be an amazing video for both of you :D A proper outdoors challenge/co-op
I think it's time we reestablish dominance. I like Dozas idea of competition - but lets make sure to add some danger. Only one of us should make it out alive
@@maximbudnick Nooo! We need the both of you. Lol On another note, would be nice to see you and or your brother come visit the Adirondacks of NY some day. (Very frequented by Canadians by the way). If ever you did and were looking for any logistics, lodging, ideas; info, it’d be a pleasure to help. Always could provide email contact. Take care
There's no way the algorithm doesn't pick one of your videos to blow up soon ... this is unreal stuff. More people need to see this. Your video style is so peaceful and captures exactly the feeling I get when I'm in places like this.
Thank you, Tate. That is one of my main concerns - to get the filming and editing right so that you can feel a bit of what it's like to be there. Too in the past my photos and videos don't bring out the colours, depth and atmosphere. Thanks for saying that! Cheers
I really like the tone of your videos. I follow several of you guys. Each one offers something different creatively. I can always count on yours bringing a bit of contemplation, self reflection, beauty of nature, and calmness. I'd read one of your books if you ever decide to write one. Favorite quote of your video "I really appreciate this last gasp of summer". Keep them coming.
Thank you, Nathan. Those are such kind and encouraging words. Much appreciated! I will definitely keep the videos coming. My brother and I are planning the next trip. All the best!
@@maximbudnick You two should do a vid about planning a trip. Mostly in your livingroom. Lots of maps. I want more maps. Plus, your brother will make it hilarious. Did I mention maps?
Grateful your video was on my scroll today! Pure joy experience with your nature share and views Settling in for an evening of viewing more Subscribed ✔️ 💕💕💕
Edit: I am so jelly of canadian nature.... The closest thing reachable for me is sweden. Thats just a 10 hour drive tho 😂 A lifetime dream is visiting canada and exploring nature over there
Thank you! 10 hour drive is a lot but at least it is still possible for a few trips a year. By the way... I've lived in Germany - and really enjoyed it :) Cheers!
I'm sorry to hear about your chronic pain, Saiyan. Happy to hear you feel a little better watching the videos. Hope to keep making them nice and calming. Have a good night!
There are so many guys stomping around the Canadian backcountry that I’m surprised they don’t photobomb each other’s shots. You have a unique video style, sparse commentary, and not lots of music that sets your content apart. Thanks from Australia. FYI a snake in your tarp downunda is no laughing matter. 😀
Hey there, Conan! Haha yeah you'd think we might run into each other but there's lot of space up here and not too many people - one of the best things about Ontario. Most snakes don't do much here - i think things are a little spicier in Australia... Thanks a lot for the comment and feedback regarding my video style - that's really helpful so I appreciate you taking the time. All the best to you! 🐍🐿
An extraordinarily well-done video in all aspects. I truly appreciate the hard work and thought that went into making it in order to share it. Thank you!
My pleasure, Ken. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy doing it (for the most part - editing is a bit of an endurance sport)! Means a lot that you stop by to leave an encouraging comment. Cheers!
What a content, what a magnificent work!!! Hats off! Amazing video, so much effort has been put into this video that it is easy to see in every frame. Marvelous work my friend, simply marvelous work! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Maxim 'Buddha' Budnick, your philosophy is sound. The wilderness does provide profound contentment. Just watching this video, I am so missing my home grounds; but I feel happy with what you've shown here. Thank you, young man for making part of my day.
Hmmm... Thought I replied to your comment already... My apologies if you get a double reply. Anyway... Thank you again for watching, and for your kind words.
I am enjoying watching you find your way along developing your channel...particularly the pace at which you move through another's space, with minimal intrusion...I hope you follow this and allow yourself the time to grow...rushing ,for the sake of completing a goal would diminish, as many others have, what you have begun...well done...peace
As an Irish man living in Ireland, two things really caught my attention. The snake, agh! I really can't be doing with them as we don't have any. Secondly the view from the top. Looking in all directions at uninhabited land, wonderful. Thanks for sharing your trip with us and for capturing some of the birds and animals you saw, (yes even the snake)
Hey openboater! The snake was a friendly little guy - though I know not everyone loves the look of them! Yeah I've heard that before about there not being snakes in Ireland - do you know why that is? I guess I can take a minute to Google... Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Cheers! 🐍
@@maximbudnick one reason is the ice age killed them off then separated Ireland from Europe. Being an island on the edge of Europe they never repopulated here. But every Irish man will tell you the "truth". St Patrick banished them from Ireland. 😉
♥ unbelievable Max... So much amazing and beautiful scenery!! and the way you take your time to capture the moment is truly special. ♥ I'm grateful for this channel and your beautiful work to bring it to me. ♥ too bad your so hard to look at!! 😳lol. Peace and richest blessings my friend ♥ 🙏 ♥
What a beautiful video. When you were up on the mountain I could only think of “the beauty of God’s creation”. Thank you for sharing your videos. Blessings
Putting out tons of content lately! I love it, amazing time of year to be outdoors. Very inspiring and motivational too, makes me wanna get off my butt and get out there! Thanks for these videos, I can only speak for me - but this does a LOT for my soul
Stunning scenery, minimal talking, nature sounds, just magical. I love how you dont overlay with music as it doesnt need it. There's a sense of stillness between the sounds. Thankyou so much for sharing. Greetings from Aus.
Nice work Maxim. In my experience happiness is a symptom of something I'm doing rather than a goal per se. If it becomes a goal it seems to be elusive and seems out of reach when chased like that New Years Eve desire to "have a great time" versus the spontaneous social gathering of friends
I might add that after watching one of your masterpieces the deep stillness remains, and I cant watch anything else as it would jar my soul. Thankyou for the gift you give. Much appreciation from Aus.
Thank you for taking me with you. I liked the chill vibe. Not too much talking, just sharing some philosophy and outdoor wisdom. Please keep up the videos. I have subscribed and shared to all my friends. Thank you, sincerely.
I know I say this almost after all your vlogs but this one is really supreme. It’s so ASMR. Your videographic eye is the keen, your editing is held just long enough to breathe in the full atmosphere without boredom, and your commentary relaxes me. I could be in Heaven here.
Gad Zooks! I loved it. Everyone likes the micro scenes that you labor over, and the lazy pans of a slow river, but to me the audio made it superior to most others. Good modulation of volume and minimizing of the wind. Aside from the technical part, the music was fitting and nice.
Nothin’ like a Leafs win only to come to RU-vid after to see a new vid from Max! This channel is gonna go so far in no time. I just know it! Another gem, Max! Great, great, great shots.
As much as I enjoy the silence and contemplation of your videos, I love that you're finding your voice and talking to us more-your comments throughout, especially your thoughts on happiness, fit perfectly with the mood of your photography. Thank you for inviting us along. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Really enjoying your videos Max! As others have said, you bring a calm, peaceful demeanor that really captures that feeling of being out on a canoe trip.
at 8.27 into the clip all I could think about was the stairway to Heaven. God's creation is amazing. you captured so many beautiful colors in this film. once again, thank you. " if this isn't happiness, I don't know what is."
Well said said Rob. If I could just add , Maxim is a very likeable guy who possesses a very calming demeanour .. Also he carries with him an " Air of certainty" a trait very few have.
Wow! Not sure what else can be said for the amazing scenery you have presented to us. Amazing! If I had one regret it would be that I had not gotten into the hiking/canoeing adventures of not only you and Xander (but others) earlier and gotten involved in enjoying nature earlier. Well, better late than never! Keep up the great work in promoting the outdoors and the many adventures that are out there to be explored and appreciated. Be safe! Be well! Thanks for the awesome adventures!! (By the way, where was this adventure?)
love your videos Mr Budnick.. please do more solo camping and with your brothers.. love watching you guys hanging out in the other Mr Budnick(Xander) camping videos..
Another great one Max! Loving your style, you have a way of making one feel they are there experiencing the adventure. Happiness can be found in the simplest ways, thanks for the reminder.
Your videos are so awesome!! I love how you capture the beauty of nature in so many ways, flowers, moss, trees, the animals etc. You have such a calmness about you & it comes out in your videos. Such beauty, thank you for all you do. Amazing talent!
Every time I see your video, I feel like I'm at an art exhibition.Your artistic perspective is conveyed through the eyes of the camera. It is very contemplative and shows a personality that the beauty of things spreads gently. As a subscriber to xander, you also subscribe. There is a pleasure to watch because the two have different personalities.😊
Love listening to your thoughts and perceptions. Right now your videos are far and away my favourite .... " if this isn'' Happiness I dont what is " Thats the way I feel about you videos. Your Videos keep getting better Lastly , I know you like group trips with your brother and Jon , But me personally I prefer the solo trips. This channel is going to hundreds of thousands of subs soon. Thankyou for making my evening on a snowy cold Alberta night.
@@maximbudnick Your welcome. I mean what I say. Im gonna put in a plug for your channel the next Foresty Forest Video that comes out . I used to play his videos all day in my wood shop ,now I play yours.
That scene of you eating at 19:55 reminded me of similar scenes in old WWII movies of a soldier huddled under a wool blanket in the brutal winter eating their C Rations. My mind works in mysterious ways lol
Thank you, Jonathan. If you're interested, you can hear the music in longer form at @afternoonhue. All the best to you and thank you for the support. Cheers
Watched this right before bedtime, I'm sure that's why I had good sleep and peaceful dreams! Your videos are the sort that I like to watch again and again, as they've got a very Spiritual sense. Clearly you're a beautiful person inside and out. Interested to see what you show us through winter!
That's really lovely to hear, Luna. I'm very happy to hear the video brought you some peace and restfulness. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can make during winter 🙂🌸
Hey Nathan. I try my best to be myself in the videos, and it's nice to hear you feel that way. It brings me a lot of joy to read comments like yours. Thank you.
Beautiful Maxim. What many experience as "Indian Summer" is simply the wonder and splendor of our most magical of seasons... AUTUMN. No other season has as much variety and unpredictability. A season so magnificent it warranted two names (although, in my opinion the rather simplistic and irreverent term "fall" doesn't do it justice). Happiness is not a state of mind which implies ego; it is more about losing our minds (so to speak) and just being present. That 🌅 was awesome!
That's the best compliment I could receive. In times of my life where I felt trapped living in a city, watching camping videos was all that kept me sane - it's one of my greatest motivations to make these videos. Thank you, Brandon! 🏕✌️
Nice comments about geology. As a geologist I appreciate when attention is brought to such details. You have amazingly beautiful nature there on the Canadian Shield and beautifully filmed as well.
Thanks Siim! I really appreciate the feedback especially from a geologist! I hope to include more details like this in the future while keeping it interesting for people who are not as interested in rocks.
Hey man, I started watching your videos recently and I really enjoyed every single one of them. I like how you explain things like the glaciation patterns on rocks and also the names of the animals you see. Very interesting
Really nice to hear you enjoy those little details - I never know exactly what people are going to find interesting. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Cheers!
Hello, Alison. Thank you for watching and for your encouraging words. I hope to make some longer content in the future :) All the best to you in the UK 🐿
Beautiful artistic videography which tells your story, along with your commentary. Being on the high places makes you “feel alive.” For me, it’s an experience of the transcendent that puts the rest of life’s struggles and challenges in proper perspective. Which is to say that something more permanent endures.
That's exactly how I feel - the day to day worries seem ridiculous and lose all power when I'm doing all the chores and activities one has to do out in nature, and the plants and critters around me are doing the same. Thank you for watching, David! 🌲🏕
