I don't mind the ads at all. I never listen to fall asleep bc that doesn't work for me & I just skip ad after a few seconds or wait the few more seconds. It's nothing compared to tv back in the day when the ads weren't long enough for a trip to the bathroom & then the kitchen for a snack, maybe when the second ad group came on... And then I just hit the back 10 seconds thing. Also the ad encourages me to be better at kitchen-ing 😅

I live in Knoxville TN, and i lived in Asheville NC been to Cherokee so many times, and I can tell ya, these mountains are beautiful, mysterious and old. you do hear knocks on trees and strange howling, I've seen everything from bears to bobcats, panthers and coyotes I love these mountains. From the skinwalkers to the wendigo.
Yeah, the Smokies are amazing! :) I've never seen panthers or bobcats, but I saw a wolf once. I haven't seen anything really strange. Have you? Or have you just heard noises?
@@SBluvr99 I've been deep in, on the app trial and such so I've seen things like orbs and crazy old random cemetery's from the civil war days but nothing truly horrifying, I actually saw the dang bobcats behind a grocery store in Asheville and the bear cubs love to climb up the porch and attack the bird feeders. I lived in las Vegas for about 5 years and let me tell ya that's where the truly horrifying things live.... that desert is scary place.
@@JESShatt44 That wild! I've seen deer cross the road where I live, but I haven't seen any bobcats. lol! . I've been in a few old creepy cemeteries too. I've never been out west. That part of the country is a mystery to me. If you don't mind, could you tell me a bit about what you've seen in the desert?
@@SBluvr99 sure, let me grab a cigarette haha. I've been wanting to write in some of the things I had happen to me if anyone were ever to do desert content so I'll jot a short one down, this one is short because i was to busy running my ass away I didn't want to look back. So there's this man made lake in Vegas called lake Mead and if you ever head out that way I'd recommend taking that long drive around the red mountains during the sunset, beautiful, anyways, so myself and the girl I was dating at the time, she was 100 percent Navajo native american and if you know anything about Navajo culture they believe highly in the "supernatural" and this girl was a beacon for crazy shit, so she gets the bright idea to go down to the lake in the middle of the night, so me being a 20 something year old kid is like why the hell not, so we pull up, park about a half mile back into this gravel parking lot, not another soul in sight, you know, because everybody is smarter than us. We start our Trek to the water, no trees, no grass, no life at all, just desert and quiet water, we sit on the beach of this lake in the shelly sand and all is well with the world, beautiful moon, so we end up just staring in awe of the vastness around us, so quiet you could hear the ringing in your ears, well we start to hear what sounded like dragging footsteps on the beach and they are close, out of nowhere, but I can't see a thing and as common sense would tell you, I should have been able to see something, all of sudden this Navajo girl shoots up, full fight or flight and whisper "what the fuck is that." Then louder like normal voice then yells what the FUCK is that?! I'm on my feet at this point like the hell are you looking at i can't see anything, this girl turns and bolts leaving me, she's damn screaming, "what the fuck are you?!" I'm running for my Dam life at this point and I catch up easily I grab her hand and I'm pulling her, when something pushes her to the ground she goes sliding head first on this gravel road I'm trying to pick her up all while running away from this thing I can't even see, she's up again, running we make it to the car and she's crying uncontrollably, once we get out of lake Mead and back into boulder city she tells me we were being chased by some sort of spirit, I can't remember what she called it.... Anyways we ended up driving to the reservation in Arizona the next day to be "blessed" by a medicine man which was pretty cool, but that definitely wasn't the last of the crazy shit that haunted this girl.

I live in Northeast Tennessee, surrounded by mountains. My brother hunts these woods every year. Well anytime it's legally allowed. He has definitely had some stories that send a chill up your spine.
I’ve lived here in The Cherokee National Forest Mountains my whole life and have had plenty of crazy unexplainable things happen to me. I’ve got a picture that would blow your mind. It’s of my little girl standing in the living room with a clear as day shadow of another girl kneeling beside her like it’s praying. There’s no reason for it to be there but it is. I live right in the middle of these beautiful yet creepy, unnerving woods. Once a friend and I were laying with our legs in the tent and our upper bodies across the threshold of the tent facing the fire. Something bent a 20 ft. tall tree down that would’ve been absolutely impossible for a human and hit the top of our tent so hard it crushed it to the ground. The tree sprang back up to its natural posture. As the tree was still shaking we could here clear footfalls of something very big heading toward us from on the other side of the fire. By now we were standing and braced for what we thought was some crazy moonshiner that we accidentally crossed. As soon as the footfalls got close enough to the fire where we should’ve seen what it was, we saw only leaves being kicked up and then sparks and ash as it stomped through the fire. Smoke , sparks and wood went flying like something big ran through coming right at us except there was nothing there but you could still hear the steps. As soon as it was 5 ft. Away ... a ball of blue light formed and shot straight up in the sky as a gust of wind blew into us and around us. Every since that day I know why nobody has ever found a body and why no one ever will. The friend who was with me that night died this past New Year’s Eve and with him the only witness to that life changing event. There’s many other things that have happened I could write a truly terrifying book but no one outside this area of East Tennessee wouldn’t believe it...but maybe I will anyway. These stories are 100% True.
I live in middle Tennessee. We do have weird things in these hills and hollers, Family got run out of the mountain by some Bigfoot while hunting two yrs ago, tree knocks, large rolling rocks aimed at them, etc. One son saw a dogman crossing the road at night, was sure it was one by the ears and body shape. People disappear in the woods sometimes, gotta be careful. We do have large cats though, Panthers will stalk you in a heartbeat around here. TWRA says they aren't here but they lie. They lie about a lot tbh.

Haven't gotten around to listening yet but this episode is exciting to me as Tennessee was one of my favorite vacations. I went to a place called the Bell Witch Cave, 100% unaware of its history. I took a bunch of pictures there. One of which was by this tree that had some symbols on it; it was the only picture that refused to develop. Kept turning up all black or not printing altogether.
West Tennessee and been here all my life. Grew up on the top edge next to MO and KY. Next to a landmark called Reelfoot Lake. Lots Indian burial grounds everywhere. We had hundreds of acres of land and I’d go hiking out in the forests for fun. All around weird outside and even weirder inside at times. People never wanted to stay over and never felt comfortable going places alone in my home.

I live in Knoxville now but I used to live in Walland and I had the Mountains basically in my back yard, I've got some pretty interesting stories myself. Gotta love TN
Tennessee is unsettling, mainly because no matter where you are (with the big cities like Nashville and Memphis being the few exceptions) you're perpetually surrounded by woods. At home, at work, even in the developed parts of town like Bellevue and White Bluff. The horizon is always a closed ring of woods. Makes you feel isolated. I live in Kingston Springs and it feels like the Maine of the south.
