Yeah, that old man used to be Superman in his youth (for real in Hollywood), and in his sunset years (according to this music video) lost his mind and thought he was still Superman.
Me too! They are from my town. They are such a great group of guys....haven’t let the money and fame go to their heads. People don’t know just how many charities and nonprofit groups they are actively involved with. They did so much for South Mississippi during Katrina.
This is my go to karaoke song with carry on my wayward son. The old man in the video played a superhero on tv in his youth and now he has dementia and has gone crazy, thinking he really is the superhero, That’s what the video is about. You got the actual song lyrics point right on.
One Note about the old guy in the video, the hero on the TV that he's watching is him when he was younger, it's him trying to relive his Glory Days, not him pretending to be a superhero.
This is a bit of an obscure song but I really enjoy the story. Its called The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald and it is the story of a ship on the great lakes
@@Jo.885 I'm not sure what you mean by your comment but the song is a retelling of the story of the ship, the Edmund Fitzgerald and how it sank during a storm
One of the best songs of my childhood. You always be lifting my spirits. I've been subscribed to you for a few years now and they've been mostly dark. But when I'm feeling bad you always make me feel better, so, I just wanted to thank you for that.
Im the same way i always know songs but don't know who sings them, especially in that early 2000s ear when i was growing up and i used to hear songs i liked on the radio when i find them now that i'm older on RU-vid it's always a nostalgic feeling
Brad Arnold the lead singer wrote it when he was fourteen or fifteen he originally was the drummer i watch a interview when he was talking about the first album and stuff and he said i remember in class doing the drum beat on my books and desk and tables at lunch time and it became their biggest hit which he never imagined it being
So fun story. A few years ago these guys were playing a show in Albuquerque They wanted breaking bad candy (blue crystal) but the store that made it for the tv show was closed. So a friend of mine was working their show and called me to see if I had any that I made for fun. I said yes and she asked if I could bring some to her for the band. So I grabbed a few baggies, threw it in a paper and jumped on my motorcycle and headed to the show. About halfway there I started laughing because I'm a biker taking fake drugs to sell to a rock band. When I get there she comes running up to me, hands me the money, I hand her the paper bag from my vest and take off. A very interesting night for sure.
Really great video, I love 3 Doors Down. As far as I know, they are still touring, but not the original members. The lead singer is still doing it, but unfortunately one of the guys, I believe it was the bassist, passed away in 2015 or 2016. Also the drummer is in prison for being responsible for someone's death. This band has been through alot. But they will always have a place in my playlist.
Used to play a superhero on TV now he's all old wishing to be that guy again holding the bird and letting us layaway was to resemble flying on the TV show like he used to. He basically used to be a Superman like character and now he can't when he heard that scuffle in the hallway he wanted to do something but he's just so old now he just was wondering if he still had a little respect
Robby, That song has been on my personal play list for a long time! I love it everytime it pops up! That song would make Billy laugh! No BYSE with that song! He needs a break from BYSE, and that's the perfect song! Great suggestion! Stay safe and healthy.
Drop Kick Murpheys they are a boston irish punk rock band. "Shipping up to Boston", "State of Massachusetts", and a live performance with a female guest singer "Dirty Glass" at lansdowne. you will get a kick out of the bagpipes and mandolin
I have one more three doors down request I absolutely know you will love it citizen soldier long version so at the end you know who's in the video please !! God bless and thanks again for your service young man
I was in school when that happened I remember well the very next year it was in our Michigan history books with what they knew at the time !! I can tell you also every class had a moment of silence at the pledge of allegiance and morning announcements !!! Need that back is all I will say ( I think you know which one I mean ) 🇺🇸
I think you might enjoy MAYDAY from Coldrain. The song is literally fire🔥. They are a Japanese metal band that speak really good English and this song is the 2nd opening song for the anime Fire force.
The video is always a little bit bitter-sweet. The old man was a hero once (even if it was just on TV) but now that he's old society treats him like sh**. He's got a rundown flat, spoilt food and when he sees the man harrasing the woman and he tries to help, he gets beaten and laughed at instead of the people helping him help the woman. And all just because he's old and wears weird stuff. Nobody notices his intentions. But he got the bad guy in the end...
Could you react to Justin Gabino "hands and feet" or Lauren Daigle "rescue you". I love the message in these songs especially during this time when we all forget our purpose.
Please react to: Tori Kelly-Hollow live at Billoard Women in Music Tori Kelly Best Live Vocals Alan Jackson-Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning
I believe there is only a lyric video but please listen to "she don't want the. World " 3 doors down. It helped me get out of 7 years of domestic. Violence
