3 Dribbles 100pts 1V1 | Chinese Streetball Legend Cao Fang VS Moon 

For those people who are casual fans watching this - allow me to explain to you what actually happened in this game. I think this match is the epitome of why people say "there are levels" to any sport. I think this match going to 100 points HUGELY favored Moon. Cao Fang is a baller, no doubt about that. But he emptied his clip way too early and didn't pace himself good. Nobody seems to understand why Moon was shooting so many threes early on. Even the announcers were poking fun at him like "I wonder why he's shooting so many threes, why not bully ball?" or "Man, Moon is so in love with threes even though he's so off", etc. etc. What they failed to realize is that Moon understood this was a marathon, not a sprint. 100 points is A LOOOT of points, and Moon realized it doesn't matter how much you're down by, you gotta be able to pace yourself for a marathon. If you noticed, Cao Fang's play dropped noticeable after going up 35-10. Before you realized, it was 46-35. Then it was 49-46 Moon. Moon actually outscored Cao 39-11 after going down 10-35, but you never noticed because it wasn't flashy and it was alot of stationary threes conserving energy. You could even tell Cao's body language starting to fade and the way he was smiling to himself that he was gassed (and he knew it). All of a sudden, all of his fadeaway shots are hitting front iron and his legs are dead. Meanwhile, Moon played with the same pace and intensity on defense throughout the entire game. While Cao was drenched in sweat by the halfway mark, Moon looked like he just walked into the gym lol. I'm Asian-American (born in China, raised in the States). There's a reason why we don't excel in physical sports. We naturally just don't have the stamina and physicality for it. This is not throwing shade at all, it's just biology and facts. Cao Fang played this game to show out and Moon played it like a real 1v1 to win. Moon was really smart to take all those 3 pointers early on. He kept within striking distance and expended minimal energy on offense. Meanwhile, he saved all of his energy hounding Cao on defense. Moon is stronger, longer and more athletic. For every step that he took, Cao had to take 1.5. Every shot Cao took had to be maximum elevation + legs to shoot a fadeaway over Moon. Credit to Cao for making a ton of them but a person can only keep that up for so long before you phsyically and mentally start to wear down. 1v1 is a different animal than organized basketball. When you out there on an island with no help, every little bit of energy conservation and strategy makes a difference. Everyone whose ever played 1v1 know that once you're gassed and u got dead legs, it's a wrap, it don't matter how good or bad you or your opponent is. It's just the nature of the beast. Moon calculated this match perfectly imo.

22:20 He’s finally hitting a couple. Took 20 mins but cao feng missed a lot of easy layups where he had moon beat but he smoked it. A game to 100 favors the player who is in better shape that’s why I’m more impressed with Cao Feng overall because he just looks gassed at this point
