Good video, thank you for sharing your knowledge. When attempting to import GPX files on a laptop in the "Ride Command" Ride/Places, Import Ride, I am getting an error "There was an error uploading your file. Please upload a different file." The GPX file I created is from Gaia GPS. I have tried both options on the "Import Ride" pop up window where files can be slid and dropped to the window as well as opening from the upload button. What do you suggest I should do to resolve this problem? Thanks! Keep up the great videos!
How big is the file size? Also does GAIA GPS have their own file formatting? I don’t know much about GAIA, but if they have their own export functions, that could cause the issue. I would first try to email the gpx file from the Gaia gps account to your personal email account. Hopefully this will give you a shareable .GPX file. Them from there save it to your desktop and try to import it in. If you have tried these steps, then email us at fun@trailkings.com and hopefully we can help you figure this out. Another thing you can try is uploading the file under the track rides tab, instead of the main dashboard on ride command. Hope this helps.... thanks for watching.
I have some maps in my Avenza app that I would like to load into my ride command on my RZR. Do you have any idea on how to do this or if it can be done. Im assuming I need to convert them to a GPX file first but I'm not sure how. Thanks
@@trailkings I dont think i can down load them. I downloaded them from a website to my Avenza phone app and can use them from there. I ended up going through my Ride Command and mapping them out with waypoints. I then used your info to load them into my machine. So i will give that a try, thanks.
Nice. If that doesn’t work... I would have the avenza app going to see where to go and once you map it with ride command during that trip, it will be permanently in ride command. You will have to remark the way points for water falls and other things you want marked. But that’s another option.
@@trailkings I have tracked a ton of trails inside ride command app. I’m still unable to plan a ride with all these routes, any idea if/how that can be done? Avenza app has all of these trails also so importing those would work also if that’s possible
No sir, not yet. We have rode Ride Royal Blue, WindRock & Brimestone but it was before we started using ride command. We plan to continue to add to the maps as we take future trips & we are going back to Tennessee next year. When we go back we will definitely get some added.
