I'm back with a DIY video on 3 easy steps I do in the spring to have lawn care success in the summer. I also give 2 bonus tips you can do to increase the odds of your success.
If you use the Scott's 4 Step program, it's time to put down Step 1 pre-emergent.
Happy Easter!

Hey brother Mike, Excellent job! In Kansas City the "magic date" is normally between April 1st and April 15th! Being a retired Golf Course Superintendent I can attest that you are "Spot-on" 100% correct! Welcome back, my brother, it's good to see you again on RU-vid! Praying for you and your family, Kevin Barron

@@TheBitsonEffect Hey Mike, I was doing some research on the depth of the temp. guage. The depth is approximately 4 inches. And the soil temperature is 55 to 60 degrees for several days. What that does is give you a "window" and not lock you down to an exact day. Just like you said in the video weather conditions play a lot in being able to make the chemical applications! Blessings, Kevin Barron

Hey! Just watched your video. I’m new to all this and was wondering if we would need to apply the pre emergent for dandelion weeds? Thanks!

Thanks for the comment, Shandi. Some pre-emergents will take care of dandelions and other broadleaf weeds, but not all. If you are in the U.S. and in a cool season or transition zone, dandelions are growing like crazy now and pre-emergent won't work. The easiest and quickest thing to use is, www.homedepot.com/p/Spectracide-Weed-Stop-32-oz-Ready-to-Spray-Concentrate-for-Lawns-Plus-Crabgrass-Lawns-HG-95703HT/202056488. You can get it from most big box stores and it just hooks up to your hose. One 32 oz. bottle will take care of 5,000 square feet. Hope this helps!
