How to Make DIY Homemade Weed Killer That Works! 

This isn't the regular vinegar and salt style DIY weed killer that you see all over RU-vid. We have a special ingredient with a kick!

* 3 cups distilled white vinegar
* 3/4 cup regular iodized table salt
* 2 tsp BLUE Dawn dish soap
* 3 tsp liquid arthritis rub (Dr. Fred Summit with Capsicum and Methyl Salicylate)

Scaled up gallon size recipe:
* 1 gallon distilled white vinegar
* 2 cups regular iodized table salt (the original recipe scaled up calls for 4 cups of salt)
* 3 tbsp BLUE Dawn dish soap
* 5 tbsp liquid arthritis rub (Dr. Fred Summit with Capsicum and Methyl Salicylate)

DO'S & DONT'S
* Don't use it where you want to grow other things
* The salt will sterilize your soil
* If you want to use this in soil, you can substitute the salt with orange oil.
* Don't use it to kill weeds in your grass
* Don't let it spill on your husbands beautiful lawn
* Best used to kill weeds in the sidewalk, driveway, in rock beds, and in kids play areas.
POINTS OF INTEREST
* Vinegar dehydrates the roots
* Regular table salt slowly kills the roots of the weeds (most of the time)
* Use a spray bottle or sprayer you are okay with throwing away because the salt will eat at the rubber seals.
* BLUE Dawn dish soap is the surfactant
* SPECIAL INGREDIENT - Arthritis penetrating heat rub (this definitely kills the root of the weed)
* Capsicum and methyl salicylate are the ingredients you are looking for in the rub.
* Capsicum comes from peppers - it provides that heat feeling in rubs.
* Methyl Salicylate - wintergreen oil - it gives that icy hot burn.
* Intensifies the reaction and works better on thick hearty weeds.
* Works best on sunny hot or warm days.
* Weeds should disintegrate in about 5-7 days.
