Hey Quizfam! Welcome back to another tips + tricks video. In this video I go over 3 essential techniques/strategies you should know in this game and I talk about how to counter them too! Subscribe! ➜ bit.ly/Quizzle Twitter➜ / mrquizzle
We're lucky enough to have a top level player like you bring players farther up without having to figure everything out ourselves, good content keep it up! :)
I am new to the Mario Tennis series. Thank you for making these videos. Watching these videos and watching more skilled players play is improving my own gameplay a significant amount.
Dude, you helped me out so much! You are covering so many aspects of the game - it's perfect. Thanks for the advise regarding Trickshots -> When does a Drop happen, why can't I perform a Lob. Everytime I got a Question. BAM. New Vid in which you are givin' me the answer I was looking for. Keep it up, you got a new Sub!
- You can cancel and change your shot by pressing a different button while charging (Also b to a for drop shot and a to b for lob) - Run close to the net when the opponent is far from the court and use a drop shot. - Tick shots have a constant shot for each movement (Front drop shot, Back flat, side slice) - Use flat shots only in the star - Trick shots counter star shots
Quizzle, can you compile everything about trick shots in one video? I watched your other trick shots tips video and it was a little all over the place, so I came out not understanding everything about trick shots, but here I learned something else. Gameplay examples of when you’re flicking the stick would help as well.
Awesome video man, great tips! Gonna try them out in my next matches! Absolutely in love with this game! I hope the devs will constantly keep the game updated with awesome content. Ps. You got yourself a new sub!
Thanks for the tips, didn't really get the part about spamming the right stick though. So no matter what direction you spam it it won't jump untill it can? And then proceed to jump in the right direction as soon as it can?
Using a trick shot to block a zone shot/special shot, idk if it’s in the timing of when u do the trick shot or for when u press a button after initiating the trick shot
I ran into a bowser jr who was charging up, and then cancelling into trick shots everytime at the beginning of the match, then he would get insane meter and always have his special when I dont have any meter.
Ah Quizzle you're great, fully answered my previous question. So now I'm just learning that you have incredible reaction time to counter the way you do haha. Also you have a third loss?! Was it a DC or a legit loss?
Quizzle, I have a question that is bothering me all the time. How do I make the star that makes your shots more powerful to appear? Or it just appears randomly? Thanks.
In most matches I want to apply these tricks but they beat me to it. They keep drop shotting and lobbing which makes me run all over the field and it prevents me from building up any meter because I have to react so fast theres no time for me to charge my shots at all. Eventually they get me. Theres just no window for me to counter their playstyle. Whenever yhey get me running all over the field I have already lost
it would be great if you do some match play tips on simple mode how to become better , would be nice to watch you play and learn good play in simple mode!!!
First I was impressed when people trick shotted me into oblivion, they I saw your video explaining how to trickshot, after that I tried to apply it doing a couple of AI matches where I forced myself to use trickshots and special shots only (And without aiming to break rackets) and after I got the hang of it I came here to thank you, because sheeeeesh trick shot meta is a strong meta.
How about the simple tournament class? Do you play that or have any techniques to win at that aside from having actual tennis IQ? It seems like certain characters like bowser jr. and most power characters are difficult to beat without the slow mo.
How to get better and know how to win: 1: go to free play, same console, 1 player 2: set rules to where the com. Is either pro difficulty or ace. 3. You gonna learn today.
You sold your game 3 days after release because you got frutrated and cant learn the mechanic of the game? Because you expected to destroy 10 years old on a nintendo game? The value of the game woulndt have changed if you sold it 1 month later and take time to learn the game...
What Robert Bato's saying is right. If you play technical characters your ball will reach to the far edges of the court and the ball can be shot at extreme angles near the net. Sometimes the angle can be so extreme (especially from a Star Shot) that the only way people can reach the ball is with a lot of energy from Zone Speed or a Trick Shot (but that's surprisingly difficult).
Love your videos. However I have been having problems with the trick shot. Instead of never creating a star for my opponent, I sometimes do create it. I am using Waluigi, and as I am performing the trick shot instead of giving me a slice it gives me a lob shot with a star...which ultimately means I get destroyed by the opponent!!! I don't know why this is happening and would love to avoid it. The cycle of lob with star tends to start after I perform a backwards trick shot and then every trick shot afterwards regardless of direction will be the same type of shot. Is this a bug or could I actually be doing something wrong?
You are doing trickshots late and you don't have enough meter to make up for the zone speed that gets uses so the shot lobs. Either time your zone shots better or have more meter when you zone shot. Late zone shots do not raise the meter.
Hi guys, sorry but i’m little bit uspet. The video is very interesting, i’ve learn many things but i don’t understand how to contrôle star’s apparition or disparition :/ The fact is even i charge or don’t charge encore i hit the ball back, everytime a star appear lol If some one could explain me how it’s work, it’s will be very cool guys Thx
I think the way it works is that if your in range to hit it normally , you won't hit it as a zone shot. That's what I used for size ways zone shots in the demo atleast and I find I was pretty consistent
Yes. On the Main Menu go to "Free Play" then to "Online Play" then if you are alone choose "Solo". Then press minus or plus on the controller to create a room. Before the room is created you'll be asked to choose options such as singles or doubles, com diff, court types, etc. With the room created your friend will basically do the same thing. Although when they get to the "Solo" choice on the top right they should see "Open Rooms: 1" showing the room you created. On the "Solo" screen though they should see you listed and be able to join you. Right now there's no "invite" system which means you and your friends have to coordinate this out of game. Note: Instead of Solo you can choose Team if multiple people will be playing from a single Switch.
Swampeye Sometimes when you use a trickshot, the game will automatically use zone speed for you so the trickshot can return the ball. When that happens, you'll lose stamina. You gain meter from a trickshot when minimal zone speed is required to return the ball. In other words, you have to trickshot earlier in order to gain meter, and the difficulty to do so varies depending on the enemies archetype and whether or not the shot is charged. Quizzle posted a video on trickshots, i recommend you check it out.
Joe Silly You have to be more specific, but if the problem is that they keep pushing you back with the flats, just mimic them. Return the flats with flats, it will mitigate the pushback.
he said to use a trick shot and that will prevent them from getting a star making the flat weaker. then you can top spin or slice and try to knock them back and gain momentum
i hate how this video encourages drop shots, it's pretty annoying to face since you have to get close up to the net and in that case, they can just lob and win
