Ah, good exercises, can't wait to try them. Especially since I just bought an PS C4 Core xxx Pascal (the W.C Sprint) edition, think 2007 but really brand new! (Next to 4 other sets of mine but so pristine couldn't let it pass me by) 😃 Greetz from cold and wet Fryslân/Holland
Thank You Pascal for very good tips! I like videos where there are more specific exsercises how to improve double push, not just see how its done and being explained. BTW such a cool chrome helmet :D
Do any of the cameras you use provide video replay while you are training? Meaning if I record 1-2minutes of skating could I replay it easily on my smartphone? Or is editing required? I want to record myself for training purposes. Thanks
@@ThePascalbriand Thanks Pascal. I'm a total noob on the 360 camera angles & framing. If the camera is on my helmet will be able to re-frame to "see" my hips, knees, and feet? Will I need a side mount, like the narwhal stick? I'd prefer not hold the selfie stick. Pretty sure I'll crash! Thanks again.
Hi Pascal, I really like your videos. But when I practice one leg slalom, I notice that my Skate opens up. Not able to understand how to improve on it. Please advise, if possible
Bonne Année jeune sportif ! ben il faudrait demander aux patineurs qui vont pratiquer, une vidéo de leurs essais, surtout sur les 2ème et 3ème méthodes ;
Hello Pascal, lovely channel and lovely content, new subscriber here. I bought high cuff skate the next 80 and it was too painful for me on the heel area. I want to try put together a maybe crazy urban setup. I want to put the speed shoes of the final 125 speed skate size 39eu with the elite 3 x 100mm 231 mm trinity frame. Would you recommend such a setup? I haven't seen anyone try this and I am not sure if it is possible. But I like the idea of quickly putting on a skate and it being very light weight and hopefully it will not be painful around heel area. Maybe it will feel like a quad roller skate - inline hybrid. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you. Have you tried putting shorter frame on your speed setup for fun around the city?
Very timely advice. I was trying to work on double contact and found this video. This will be fun to try. Maybe it's the camera angle but do the leading skate wheels alternate from push to push? Also, could you recommend a dryland/offskate drill to help build the feel and timing? My ankles and knees feel like they are fighting with each other. Probably poor weight transfer. Maybe a slideboard drill or just bare socks on a wood floor? Thank you Pascal!
Hi Pascal, great video again! I have a hard time creating a smooth transition from the under push to the regular push especially when there is more resistance (e.g. head wind). It feels like I lose a lot of speed / traction instead of adding it up. When I have a tailwind or the track walks down it is easy to create a smooth transition and keep the speed. Any idea what is going wrong? Any tips how to improve? I'm really stuck on this and I can't find a way to improve on this.
Probably you are not active enough to switch your upper body weight position … then you are fighting it. Maybe you can try to play a bit of shoulder movement side to side… if you look good I did a video long time ago about shoulder movement. Keep me update if it help
@@ThePascalbriand Should movement side to side (left to right) or some front to back? Or both? On ice I was taught dropping the opposite shoulder, side to side and avoid front to back. Side to side adds some compression and hip lean.
