Congratulations on getting PR from such a lovely brand as Merit, Beth! Such a wonderful milestone in your RU-vid journey! Yaay! 👏👏👏 I'm like you regarding Hourglass's bronzers being too warm for my skin undertone, especially in the colder months when I'm the most pale. I think it's okay not to use up every single powder in every palette I own. But when I'm moved to add some color to my forehead in the months when I'm super pale, I usually dip my brush in a neutral-toned Hourglass finishing powder after loading the brush with bronzer. I find that I can alter the warm undertones a bit that way. This may not work well for those who have deeper skin tones though, as the finishing powders lighten the bronzer a bit. Thank you!! Merit has been generous to me and I really go like their products. I’ve been able to try a few from them, and I think they are doing a lot right. I especially love their Flush Balm blushes. I love your tip about cooking down the warm tones by mixing them. Great idea-I will try that. 🥰😘 I hope all is well with you 💖

I love that you use products for a while before you review them. The first impression videos can only do so much in really exploring the complexities of a product. I’m very much attracted to the Hourglass palette but I’m thinking about whether it’s a good idea to buy another one of these.

Thank you, I agree! I love a good First Impressions video when something is newly launched, but I like to know how they are to live with over time. If you’re on the fence and haven’t tried their powder products, I’d recommend starting with a mini blush in your favorite tried & true blush shade.
