I say YES to a physical Jones Road store. The products are unique and I think the application needs more trial-and-error than other brands. This is especially true if you have some "lived-in" skin.
Pewter is my favourite finish of all time. I remember thumbing through 90s fashion catalogues, and all the jewelry had a pewter option. And then Rose Gold came along 😢 sad story
I really appreciate the way Jones Road is innovating for a mature market. That rush to get ready before work is real. Lasting all day is remarkable. I wonder if applying a messy kohl liner on your upper lid (at your lash line) before applying the light “just a sec” would give you the dimension you want? It’s nice to see you posting again.
The kohl liner is exactly the right idea. I tried using the Merit Solo Shadow in Nelson (matte gray) as a base with Topaz on top, and that worked pretty well. I’m so glad you’re here!!
I think that is fantastic and it’s cool that Bobbi recognizes that there is a huge segment of the market that feels the same way. These products perform beautifully with minimal fuss.
I’ve just found your channel, and have enjoyed your reviews of Jones Road, especially this one as I was just looking at their website yesterday and wondering about the colors. So you’ve helped me a *lot* in making the choices! Then I went to the website again just now, only to find that they only have one of the eight colors available! I’m gutted. Please, Jones Road, please keep your stocks available for us! And thank you Beth, for helping me. You have a new subscriber here.
Hi Beth, I love these colours and formula, I have not tried them yet but they look gorgeous on you. Thank you for sharing your review on these eyeshadows and cheek/ lip one as well. Have a great week 👩🏻🦳🎄🥰
Thank you Beth for your review of the jus a sec eye shadows! You do a great job of showing the products in different ways: on the hand, on the fingers, application, on the eyes... Very helpful! I just ordered So Pretty in the best eyeshadow line (after "hemming and hawing" about it for way too long). I want to love Jones Road but they can be hit and miss for me. The large sizes and higher price point plus lack of stores to see them irl makes it so hard to want to pull the trigger. (On a side note: because of your review of the miracle balms I did buy a bunch of the minis - Yay! Love them and found your thoughts on the colors to be so helpful.) I tend to be a little bit more on the minimal side of the make-up scale which means anything I buy is going to be with me for a while. I'm wondering (if you have So Pretty) how the Pewter compares? BTW Love the two tone look at the end:)
I am so glad that past review helped you with the Miracle Balms. They’re so unusual, but I think special. I don’t have So Pretty in The Best Eyeshadow, just Patina and the matching grey matte shade. Those formals are super good, too. I just trust Bobbi.
I am so glad I came across this video! I’ve been agonizing over whether I should get the just a sec eyeshadow. I usually use 3 to 4 colors on my eyes every morning, but I am intrigued about the possibility of a one and done. And even more intrigued to see if it plays down the lines in my 55 year old eyelids. Some of the powders that I use really make the skin look more crepey. I’m going to search to see if you have a video on her powdered eyeshadows. But I love how you broke everything down and we’re so detailed in your review! I’m definitely going to subscribe to your channel😊
Hello Maryann! 💖 Welcome. I’m so glad this was helpful. I have a full product line review on my channel with time stamps so you could skip ahead just to her “The Best Eyeshadow.” I tried a matte and a shimmer. It’s called something like “Jones Road Daily for 3 Weeks”
I have some products coming. I ordered the setting powder, a few of the eyeshadows, the shower perfume. I really want the lip and cheek stain in the bright pink. I’m still experimenting. Wonderful video. Enjoyed it very much. ❤
Thank you!! I’m loving this Lip & Cheek formula so much. I hope you like the eyeshadows. The perfume is great, I think-if you like a bright clean scent.
I had the same problem reading the tiny print on the bottom of the Just a Sec. I used a Sharpie to write the color on the top of the containers. No more squinting!
Ingot the holiday bag to get a selection. And it has just a sec in cool taupe. Perfect for me. The mascara is nice…but a bit too wet. Maybe it will settle in a bit. But it gives great length and stays put.
Oh, great! Glad you liked Cool Taupe, too. I didn’t love the mascara, even though it did look pretty. I thought it was too rough to remove and I try to baby my poor lashes.
Hi Beth! I would love a physical Jones Road store. I want to be able to try the products and play with them a bit before I make a purchase. Anyway, hope you have a great week!🤗💕
Hi Beth! I haven't purchased any Jones Road yet. Seeing how quickly you were able to apply this product does make me wonder if I might want to buy at least one of these eye shadow pots... 🦋🧡🦋
So lovely to hear from you ❤ I have really enjoyed exploring this brand. I have some hits and misses, and this is a hit if you wear shimmery eyeshadow. It’s lovely!
Kind of reminding me of the those Nudestix chubby pencils which are all shimmers. I bought the whole set on Ebay and they last all day and look very nice. The set was about $50 for about 6 pencils. The pots are too fussy for me - the sticks are another choice.
Yes, I totally agree! One of my motivations for trying this brand was specifically for the channel since I knew there were others like me who wanted to know more about it. I hope it helps, even if it’s to say “No.”
Thank you for sharing! I look good in grey/silver and some bronze/brown so I am excited to try these. I live in the same state as you and have very dry skin. Do you find that primer for the eyes and powder on the face is a must with her line? I am a more minimalist on makeup but want the glow and moisture you say it provides.
Hayyy! My skin is so dry right now it’s a crisis. I think the Just a Sec is fine without primer and I mostly wear the WTF without powder-but often I use a little Hourglass Dim Light under my eyes because it scatters light well. Not necessary
