Can I time travel back in time 7 days to when I transitioned a hoya to leca for the first time? I think I did good based on your other videos (and I used a cheap hoya that I had a copy of in case I lose it).
Love the videos as always....I know you and your Alocasias have a love hate relationship, but how hard was it to transition your Alocasias from soil to leca? I have a regal shield that I want to transition from soil to leca but honestly I'm terrified....it's a mature plant and healthy but I'm unsure....I have plenty of cuttings just in case but would you recommend removing all the roots and re-rooting the plant in the long method or just doing the long method for an easier transition? Please help Queen of Leca
I was looking at getting a Hoya, but which would you recommend for someone new to Hoya's? I have stayed away because most Hoyas I see have very small leaves but I would like one with a little bit bigger leaf size like some of the ones I see you worked on in the video. Hi, love all your videos. Very informative. ? 4 u, can you use the clonex clone for nutrients for plants that have been in leca for over three years? I have been mixing my own nutrients but it is a long process. Please let me know if I can make my plant life easier by using this solution for nutrients going forward. Thank you for your time.
Thank you. Clonex is a root stimulant and should only be used for a short period of time. Best to use a general hydroponic nutrient long term. There is a great article by the leca addict about why the use of root stimulants is not good for plants. Let me know if you would like the link.
I explain the various scenarios why one would do that in the video. Some people prefer not to have the roots for the reasons I mention. The video is to show that it is a method that works.
I get that. But this was done in the dead of winter in Melbourne so the conditions need to be taken into account. Light and temperature are so important. The idea of the video was the methods, I hope that came across. Thank you for watching.
