Joshua's opponents always get drummed up as killers until he beats them and then those same people who were backing his opponents say they weren't good and walk overs. All of a sudden a person who quit against Usyk is a world beater because he barely knocked out Miller and headbutted his way to victory versus Hrgovic? Make it make sense.
Same about Nganno..... beat Fury.. world class.. and then get sparked by AJ in 2 and all of sudden He sucks .... That's AJ life story .... won't change it
There is only 1 champion when that man had fought and won all 4 belts. There’s no escaping the face that Usyk is the man right now head honcho, Don Corleone of that division. Anyone else holding a belt shouldn’t be acknowledged as a “champion”
Love Usyk, he is undisputed, but he has not re written the laws of the sport. Until that day, there has and always will be will be multiple championships.
Yet neither Usyk nor Fury could do what AJ did. Both Usyk and Fury were too busy chasing the money and a signing rematch clauses to defend their titles. At least AJ fought his mandatories and never got stripped or vacated to chase money over the natural order.
@@Severloh1944 Usyk got stripped without a chance to defend or not to defend. Lol. He was contractually obligated to rematch Fury, and would’ve potentially lost his license had he avoided it.
What makes people think Dubois hits harder than Ruiz? People are getting totally carried away with him. Hrgovic has always been suspect, Miller can barely walk, aside from those guys and Larena ( who knocked him down 3 times) who has he fought?
@@tristhekid "Don’t just watch the Herg and Miller ones." What? Miller and Herg are, outside of Joyce, the toughest competition Dubois has faced. They matter far more than his early fights.
Absolutely NO ONE in any popular boxing RU-vidr comments sections picked Dubois to beat Miller OR Hrgovic. Now those two were nobody’s?😂😂😂 Not saying he will beat Joshua but lets not be so quick to trash him. Btw he tore his ACL agains Lerena lmao. Casual comment af.
He isn't. Had he not used Head butts, and Hrgovic's lack of urgency/motivation, he would have probably been out. He does have heart but is a great boxer who will go far? Sure but not against Joshua.
Let’s try and bring some balance to the absolutely ridiculous comments about Dubois and his past ‘quits’😂 the Joyce defeat. Broken orbital (eye socket). Lerena knockdowns. Literally tore his ACL in the ring and needed surgery. He stopped him even with that injury. Usyk. I admit the Usyk fight can be argued a quit. Not expected to beat big pharma Miller or Hrgovic… but now there are nobody’s?😂😂 who picked DDD in those fights? Now compare his last 3 fights with AJ’s… Helenius, Wallin and a UFC guy? Dubois has fought Usyk, Miller and the ‘heavyweight prospect’ Hrgovic. 2/3 he wasnt expected to beat. DDD got hit way too much against Hrgovic but lets put a bit of respect on him jeez. All this being said, if I was a betting man I’d pick AJ due to speed and power inside 8 rounds. I’d still think DDD is gonna give it a good go, and massive props to him for building his confidence.
He got a TKO against Miller in the last 30 seconds of the fight, in which honestly didn't need to be called for anything other than a spectacle. He beat hrgovic in a battle of attrition abd headbutts. Hrgovic was up on the cards, till thst point.
@@Lookist2023you've dismissed most of the points the original post made. Look at A.J's last fights, he's being celebrated for knocking out Ngannou, and you call Dubois vs Miller a spectacle fight? At least Miller is a boxer with 26 pro wins. Robert Helenius is 40 years old. Otto Wallin while having a descent record, only has a 50% knockout ratio and was hardly a big threat to A.J. Jermaine Franklin took A.J the distance... Filip Hrgovic is better than all of those guys. Dubois isn't at the same level as Anthony Joshua but he doesn't necessarily have to be to win. It's heavyweight boxing and it only takes one punch and he's going in with confidence, hunger and youth on his side. He will be A.J's most difficult opponent since Usyk but he's not going to try and outbox him like Usyk did, he's going to throw down like Ruiz did. If he can get into a scap with A.J, I think he could knock him out. If A.J keeps him at range and picks him off with the jab, then Dubois is screwed. It's a 60/40 fight.
@@DarkMoonWayfarer hrgovic best win is against big slow, Zhang, a fight that is controversial, Are you really using Miller as a good opponent, my point remains, 315 pound log, that was going 12 rounds before they gave Daniel the T.K.O, which is good for Daniel, but an unnecessary decision, Miller would have survived for final 30 seconds. Dubious fought Usyk, and quit AJ fought him twice. There's still a gap in experience, and although Dubious outside of Usyk has really competed at the highest level, AJ has and trying ti say Daniel has improved so much since the Usyk fights mo since rhe Joyce fight. When his head movement is as bad as Joshua's. My point originally is that Daniel is clearly being, fast tracked here and overated, he doesn't need to fight any of the big fighters, he's 26, when there gone in 3 years he'll have the entire division. He's the future not the present.
They used to criticise AJ for signing rematch clauses but Usyk and Fury seem to be getting a pass. They both signed rematch clauses to avoid their mandatories. Fury got stripped and Usyk was about to be stripped until he vacated. Looks like AJ was a better champion than either if those two because at least he fought his mandatories
I think providing AJ gets past dubois then the next big test would be a rematch with parker... go up against someone who's quick, agile, nimble, fast hands, etc, get his speed back up to scratch then after that fury is his for the taking
Gold in Olympics, lineal and undisputed, and highest "ELO raking" are the only champions worth talking about. Everyone else are just pretend, made up paper champions. Just like in Highlander there can only be ONE.
Usyk was about to be stripped for refusing his mandatory. He chased the money and rematch clauses ahead of the natural order. Much like Fury did. Anthony "The Saint" Joshua never reduced himself to that level. At least AJ fought his mandatories
@@Severloh1944 Fair criticism. I think they feel like they have unfinished business since the match was close. But I do agree that has not fulfilled his duty.
I’m going to be there. I can live in hope that I might catch a fleeting glimpse of the legend himself. Imagine seeing Propa in the flesh! Oh and I guess there will be some boxers there too
We should also add one more belt "Fringe contender belt". Passed around by fighters like Wilder, Miller, Helenious, Duhapas, Derek Chisora and Kubrat Pulev.
DDD needs to sleep AJ early and just take a chance right from the start, he needs to fight on AJ's chest and come forward and never give AJ a break or space to operate, similar to what fury did to wilder, If DDD tries to have a battle of the jabs with AJ he's going to get out punched repeatedly, backed up (he's not good on the backfoot), AJ atleast has some head movement and can fight going backwards, DDD gets hit by everything and he won't take AJ shots, not many people do consistently. For me DDD gets broken and battered in the first 3-4 rounds if they try to fight at range, AJ is bigger, has a better range, punches harder, just a better boxer all round really, only thing DDD has going for him I think compared to AJ is handspeed and stamina, he's got a better gas tank, he's got slightly faster hands also, I'd also say there's a big difference in power too, DDD hasn't stopped anybody good, AJ has stopped several fighters at a good level. DDD needs to put the pressure on and just never let AJ have the time to plant his feet, I doubt DDD will get away with the headbutts vs AJ, if he tries he'll be warned first time out. I think DDD has been lucky with his timing, got a half baked miller coming off a big pause, a good test of heart though and he passed very well, and then got a hergogic who also looked out of shape, I mean he gassed in 5 rounds against what was a punching bag in DDD, DDD threw very little aside from headbutts and got away with every single one of them, terrible referee, should have been DQed by the 3rd round, I counted atleast a dozen purposeful headbutts, but here we are, now he's got a belt fighting AJ, I don't know why DDD has so much backing, he's a B class fighter and terrible to market with the personality of a sponge .
It would be stupid to get rid of the belts.. There would be ZERO mandatories, it would be easy to duck people, and fringe fighters would never get an opportunity
Dubois has a bit more fire about him which is great but no way he's beating AJ. If he tries to bully AJ like he bullied Hrgovic it'll end badly for him. Dubois takes a knee in the 9th. You heard it here bosh.
Explain the Ruiz fights please. How did Ruiz TKO Joshua? And how did he go the distance with him in the following fight? Ruiz bullied Joshua in the first fight...he beat him up and Joshua actually quit. That actually happened. Please explain. Cheers.
Joshua gonna show Dubois there's levels to this. He's flattening Dubois inside 6 rounds. He's too open, and won't be able to take more than a couple of hard punches from AJ. He's a standing punch bag.
Exactly like the Ngannou fight., Wallin was smart and fought on the back foot, Daniel got the Ngannou confidence, and will jeep walking into punches just he did against Joyce
After this fight, fun fact, these guys will still say AJ in recent times has fought no one including Dubios. I love how these guys change the goalpost whenever it comes to AJ. Hypocrites.😅
It makes sense that someone could get a belt if he does not get a title shot in some amount of time, but this is truly ridiculous because they both fought and lost against Usyk. It's like your football team wins every game in a competition, but the trophy is decided by two losing teams facing each other. There can legitimately be more than one champ at a time, but this is a scenario where it makes no sense.
Didn’t Kevin Lerrena drop Dubois three times? I know Hrgovic peppered Daniel but he doesn’t have much power, Joshua definitely has the power. If Lerrena dropped Dubois, Joshua will do a lot more damage
@@maped4they said he tore his ACL but, didn't look like a tear to me. Recovery was too quick and he wasn't limping after behind down a number of times. Sprained his knee at worst haha
@@juniorhornet1323 Are you ignoring the first three rounds that were extraordinarily close and the four straight rounds Fury absolutely swept? Don't act like Usyk was unmarked. The ninth round was the most dominant period for Usyk. Fury rocked him about three or four times, including twice in the sixth. Even after the ninth, he hurt Usyk in the last round. Do not act like Usyk won easily. He himself said it was the toughest fight of his career.
AJ is fucking obsessed with respect. I love AJ but he seems a bit "needy" for external validations from others all the time. I love this fight and have my ticket ... bit of Liam Gallagher thrown in should make it a top night ! I love the pod boys. Ain't no shame in your game ye all know how to walk the dog. RESPECT !!!
AJ has false confidence from his three previous fights against no marks. Dubois has a much better resume in his last three fights. If dubois lands first, AJ will fall to pieces. His behaviour in the face 2 face is just AJ revealing who he really is. The carefully crafted humble persona was always bollox. Dubois by knockout for me.
The problem with this kind of analysis is you disregard past performances. AJ did better against Usyk in both his fights, Dubois quit to a jab. Everyone picked Parker to lose against Wilder despite Wilder struggling against the likes of Gerald Washington for 12 rounds. Parker did very little between Wilder and a brutal KO against Joyce yet he smashed Wilder to bits. You can’t cherry pick performances. Dubois is there to be hit and will he hit. Is Baby Miller any better than Otto Wallin? I’m not so sure
Everyone seems to forget that Joshua had a hard fought UD against Franklin, looked very average against Helenious until the KO. Yes he beat Wallin, but c'mon,Wallin was never that good to begin with. This is the first Real competitive fight for Joshua in yrs! Dont write Dubois off! It all depends on what Joshua turns up,if we get the version that fought Franklin or Helanious then dont be surprised if he gets stopped. And oh yeah, the Ngannou fight doesn't count.
Mate that a ridiculous take on it. The Franklin was a rebuild and the aj fight was a replacement on weeks notice and he didn’t fully believe in himself then. Wallin fight was great as he was at least top ten in all governing bodies and many thought he could pull off the upset against aj and if ur saying he was no good then how did he give fury hell and all he could handle and aj dealt with him like it was nothing made him quit. Again with ngannou don’t say it don’t count cos he arguably beat fury and dropped him and aj starched him within 2. Ngannou taken punches from mma gloves which are much more powerful punches and taken roundhouse kicks to the jaw without even moving an inch and aj destoyed him like it was nothing laid him out and flattened him which if ngannou was shit then fury would’ve done the same
The amount of boxing channels that said Wallin would beat AJ , but as soon as AJ won , it became " Wallin isn't good enough" , then Ngannou would KO AJ, AJ has no chin, forgetting AJ would be punching too ,but as soon as AJ won, it became "MMA , doesnt count "
You use those fights to work on things though. Coming off 2 losses in a row, issues in camp, no regular trainers/coaches in place. You expect stellar performances? In spite of the above, he still got the wins. Nuance lad. There's a whole heap of nuance here
Joshua's opponents always get drummed up as killers until he beats them and then those same people who were backing his opponents say they weren't good and walk overs. All of a sudden a person who quit against Usyk is a world beater because he barely knocked out Miller and headbutted his way to victory versus Hrgovic? Make it make sense.
It'll be fair fecking play to Dubois if he goes and does it, and it'd be great fun if he does, but I just don't think it's his time yet. He's only in his mid 20's, he has plenty left to learn and do, he'll be the future of British heavyweight boxing but not yet is what my gut tells me. The proverbial old guard have to move on first.
Don't know why this is such an issue... it's been this way for almost a century, lol. You are a world champion if you got any of the ABC belts, then you can be Unified if you have more then 1 and then you can be Undisputed if you have them all. Nothing new here, it's not the best system but why is it a problem now??
my thoughts on the matter, AJ beats him Daniel Dubious quits again, in Dubious last fight rewatch it you can hear the trainer or his dad shouting push through it as he was eating punches, he was about to quit again, his two last fights have been against two unfit fighers, AJ trains hard lasted both fights against Usyk Dubious nope quit 😂
The IBF's primary job--same as with the WBC, WBA, & WBO--is to collect sanctioning fees. They couldn't wait until the Usyk-Fury rematch. It's all about the Benjamins.
Really? Dubois looked rattled as fuck when AJ bit back. 'Wanna go now?' then stands up and backs away. Can't wait for whatever excuses Don Charles has when he gets smashed.
AJ in his dark room… I’m confident I can beat Dubois. Now I’m worried about my confidence undermining me. Now I’m worried about Dubois’s confidence and if I’m worried about his confidence it will give him more confidence. Anything said in this dark room is in confidence, right Eddie?
This is Joshua all the way for me. I just don't see what you guys do with Dubois, I don't see it. His movement isn't there, he's too easy to hit. It's too early for him, he's still young. He'll come good but I cannot see him taking this AJ right now.
Why are The Boys & Uncle Not Mentioning Moses Itauma as the Possible Future Face of British Boxing? He’s Younger and In My Opinion, Better Than Dubois! 🤔🤷♂️🤦♂️
I think AJ will bust him up with the jab and big right hands as Dubois head movement is non existent AJ to stop him by round 7. As far as the best British Heavyweight I think we have to watch how Moses Itauma develops that young man is lightning quick for a Heavyweight with superb footwork and devastating power in both hands at 19 years old. For me he is the best heavyweight prospect out there and future Undisputed heavyweight world champ.
Yet Usyk refused to fight his mandatory and was about to be stripped for chasing the money and signing a rematch clause. Fury did likewise after Klitschko and was actually stripped. I think AJ deserves much credit for fighting his mandatories unlike the other cash grabbing boxer's like Usyk and Fury
If Dubois throws when AJ throws, he can win that fight. AJ doesn’t really react well under the pressure of getting hit. I understand it was some time ago not but if you look at the Ruiz fight and even the Usyk fight, when they were landing as he was throwing they would hurt him.
Dubios will need to accept reality. He will have to counter punch to have a chance against Joshua. He will have to get hit , then return and hopefully connect something on joshua.
Oi oi...lol ..hold up....he dose avba point!!!🤣...AJ.and Daniel fight for second place champion!!🤣🙏......er me out...AND THE NEW NOT AS Good AS ALEXAND SECOND VEST CHAMPION!!🤣... BRV ...IM STILL GINNWR GET ON THE FIGHT THO!!🤣...NICE BOYS... GRATE CHANNEL!!.🙏
There’s majors in golf Tennis ect nothing wrong with having multiple world champions. In the modern era of only fighting once or twice a year great fighters would never get a shot.
Theres ONLY ONE BEST FIGHTER in the WORLD. DuBois beat Usyk IMO when Usyk stayed down from a LEGIT SHOT IMO. Love to see a MASSIVE WAR between these 2.
What the heck am I listening to now 😂 people, if Usyk wanted to keep his belt he just have to follow up what AJ did, fight all your mandatories. Otherwise we will end up with belt hodders like, Furry and Wilder.
you guys are dreaming. He beat Hrgovic (hype job) and Miller (total bum). Yeah he's young but he's not going to beat AJ, he's going to get sparked out in ugly, quick fashion. Yes he's potentially got another 10 yrs in him but i very much doubt he will be around that long, and he wont be a proper world champ ever. People getting carried away, i don't know why. What has Dubois shown other than punch power? Heart? No, Defence? No, Intelligence? Def not
It's Joshua he is facing so what do you expect. They always drum up Joshua's opponents until he beats them and then those same people who were backing his opponents say they weren't good and walk overs. Make it make sense.
@@Eddybo22 i think its the other way round. Everyone says this is it for AJ, he's shit, then when he does win again they all turn on the opponent saying he was actually old, or shit all along. Remember all the ex boxing world champs picking Ngannou to beat AJ? I do
How is anyone going to take this era seriously when Usyk is stripped of the belt and it's then given to two guys he's already beat?? It makes no sense, it's a complete joke.
