But in low frequency mode, the limiter is not active and at some level there is probability that your speaker can be harmed. It is like a circuit breaker in electricity. I don't prefer to take this risk and I just want to warn JBL Xtreme users. Besides its very important side effects, some youtubers advice people to use it in low frequency mode without any warning. That's why I wanted people to learn this risk.

Hard reset your JBL Xtreme by below video, also in your cell phone's Bluetooth connection settings, remove (forget) JBL Xtreme 2 connection, close and re-open your cell phone, than try to re-connect your xtreme 2 to your cell phone and check it whether it works or not. It is highly recommended that it is better to use the latest firmware everytime for every devices. You can update your firmware through your cellphone. Latest firmwares improve the performance of the item and fix some bugs.

@@TechAbetSolutions yeah.... I kinda tried without and it got even louder. But then the bass isnt good at all. I prefer the lfm but the speaker isnt harmed yet. I have been using it for a year now and its been aleays on max or at least 75%

Same i got lfm out of the box too i think cause pressing the buttons makes the bass lower

normal mode bass so bad on some normal people music, just for bass and high freq songs jbl is good

It didn't came with it turned on, it actually makes bass worse. Only low notes are played well, low, mid and upper bass. No weird bass boosted songs, try rebasses of songs and you'll see.

Just reset it and everything will be back to normal

Sander if you have youre speaker on normal. You hear a dun dun sound when u max the volume out. Than it is in normal mode. But if u hear no dun dun than it is most likely in lfm

This is a very good bluetooth speaker. It won't create any problems for you in the near future as long as you good take care of it. I advice you to: 1-Not to use it in low frequency mode. 2-For its battery life, don't keep this speaker attached to electric with its charger. Charge it, than unplug it from the charger, use it until you get the red light on the battery indicator 3-Do not apply any changes depending on youtubers advice unless you are 100% sure. There are many videos on the internet that cause infollution. 4-Do not listen the music with very high capacity voice (95% or above) all the time.

I have this 1 and a half years. I listen to music with a lot of bass. (rap or trap). And the speaker is exactly like when i first used it. The bass is greate and remains the same. The volume is the same too. And the battery life is greate because i use it for 3 days and then it shows the red dot(low battery). It is greate but i used low freq only 10 times. But i use a bass boost app that makes the bass 5 times louder. Thats not good for the speaker i think but i like it(and it still is like a new one). Also yesterday i got outside with this and started rainning. It was wet but still ok. Remember it is Rain proof but you can't put it on water. (I AM TALKING ABOUT XTREME 1)

The reason may be: 1-You may used your JBL over powered and this may cause one of or both of your speakers to be blown. 2-There maybe loose contact problem inside of your JBL If you still have warranty send it to the JBL.

Guys why are you Upgrading the fucking Firmware?? Its just removes the Secret funcions

Mine has still 2.3 for the firmware and there is no upgrade available right now for regular users. I guess 2.4 is at the trial mode now. For cancelling the low frequency mode, you can hard reset (+ sign and play button for 10 seconds) your JBL to have normal mode.

my guess is it disables a high pass limit on bass and other filters. so if u send sub bass to it, it will play it. in normal mode it boosts bass but cuts and limits sub bass with tricks and reduces highs to better match loudness of lows.

New jbls doesnt have anymore

It may have a problem with the power switch. It is better for you to take it to mechanics.
