I don't bother with none of that speaker sound good to me just download the equaliser app and you can have a good sounding speaker I even have the Sony srs X 55 bluetooth Speaker from 2016 and still have it sounds good to with the equaliser app as long as you don't put to much bass on it as know it will have distortion and that's with all speakers No matter how powerful they are everything has a maximum to it just keep it simple take my advice if you Want peace to you my man

Hello I just got new xtreme 2 and it's not working. When it's start updating then my xtreme 2 will just lose Bluetooth connection. I am using Huawei p10

I have 2.3.0 now, but on reddit i saw somebody with 2.6.0 from August 17th, 2020

Ok hab selber keine JBL Box aber das da ne Firmware die Upgradebar ist hätte ich nicht gedacht. Video hilfreich nix auszusetzen, abgesehen von der mir so gehassten Hintergrund Dudellei daher LIKE. MFG

Hi. My xtreme 1 is from 2017. I checked version and it's 7.4. Now available is only jbl portable app and you can't upgrade your speaker. Any advices?

Listen I have the jbl extremel 2 and I don't update it at all my speaker still sounds good I have and Android phone and tablet I have down loaded the equaliser app And I can adjust the sound on the speaker and it sounds good I don't need to bother with all this but this was an interesting video I quite like it thanks

I bought a refurbished JBl Xtreme 2 in July, 2024. Is this speaker too old for a firmware update? The Play Store doesn't have an Xtreme 2 app.

if someone of you guys don't have an iPhone then just buy one that was realesed later than 2017 and has battery life or display problems. I personally got a iPhone 6 for 39, 78$ which had touchscreen issues but it was working good enough for updating my speaker two times

0rdreSacre I know that. I have it installed. But the android version of this app is not giving me a option to update. And all the videos on youtube about updating its firmware were done using iPhones

Hi, nice explanation but do you happen to know when the red dot on the gear will appear? My Extreme 2 has firmware version 1.2.0.0 installed when unboxing. I assume that in the meantime, version 1.6.0.0 is the latest version but the red dot in the app won’t appear. I also can’t find anything on JBL’s homepage how this works...
