Mixed media stencil art is a fun and low pressure way to get your creative juices going. This week I am creating 3 stenciled, painted papers + 2 bonus papers made on the gelli plate because I could 😀

Jackie! I am a recent sub and I am absolutely besotted with your channel! I love your use of colour and hue. I loved this vid in particular because I use stencils a great deal in my work. On the sea glass one another option would be to put dark paint on stencil then lay it back to suit original pattern. .just a thought 😁😁💐💐💐💐💐💐🥰🥰

You are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing your techniques. I’m feeling very frustrated at the moment because I cannot find that stencil you used which was bought on Etsy. It’s just what I want and I’m hoping that you’re not too busy to share a name of a stencil, or the artist who created It. That might help me gain some sanity back after searching this morning. I’m enjoying your videos so much. Painting papers is such a satisfying fun surprise every time. I’m cutting the papers into strips and adhering them to 2”x6” card stock, turning them into pretty bookmarks for my local library. So so fun! Thank you for your tips and tricks. This is addictive!

Painted some paper that I got from an Amazon delivery bag. How much joy can one person get from just mixing acrylic paint on a bag?!!! The pressure to not create a “thing” other was lovely. Just painting textures and colours was so helpful from a learning pov as well as the sensory element of it all after a long day looking at a screen.

The tape turned out to look like tortoise shell. I liked it both ways but it’s cool that you just keep trying new things bc if you want to go back and get the cheetah u can just do it again. Had you stopped we wouldn’t know how to do the tortoise shell technique. I’d love to see how you use the papers.

Those paper pulls at the end were quite creative. One the first one, I clearly saw the beginning of a piece involving elk or large animals coming into the scene from the left hand grove of trees. The second pull was a map. This was a great video. Thank you.

What a fun video Jackie. Loved the "happy accidents" 😁 Just thinking that a sponge and a bit less paint might have been better if you had wanted to keep the pattern ( on the tape) but I loved the outcome anyway Blessings ... Jayna 🇦🇺

Diana, I don't and I'm sorry that store is no longer carrying it. An idea would be to reach out to Mariah at www.youtube.com/@PMartistStudio and see if they have something similar or if they could make something similar. They have got a HUGE catalog of stencils. I hope that helps. 🥰

Thank you for your kind words Christine! 🥰 I bought this badger brush about 20 years ago at a small local art store. The brand name wore of the handle ages ago. I just looked it up and found a very similar one at Jerry's Artarama, but WOW it's very expensive now. If budget is an issue, a smaller one will work too.
