It's strange, when I was a kid my uncle's house was burned down by a guy who had mental issues, he stabbed the old dog that slept at the back door 13 times saying it was the devil in disguise. It seems to be a thing that happens allot some guy going nuts and stabbing the dog or something saying the devil made them do it

Case #2. 4 years in a mental hospital then released? No justice for his poor wife. And saying she died quickly, because she choked on her own blood? That is NOT a quick death! She suffered hell before she died. And he lives in the same town? Wow!!!

Not necessarily.. Mental illness can do some crazy $hit to someone's head. Some legit think they have no choice but to do what "they are told" to do. Schizophrenia is not to be taken lightly.

@@peppermintcookie5531 There're other mental conditions such as psychosis, bipolar, etc... that can also cause a person to "hear" things that aren't really there. Schizophrenia is just the disorder that affects the biggest percentage of people who "hear" things.

Michael ripped his wife’s face off her skull, gouged out her eyes, strangled on her own blood while he strangled the dog, ripped its eyes out, ripped off its limbs... and only spent four years in a mental hospital. Living in an assisted care facility with all your needs met and everything controlled down to your meals, comfort and medication is not the best environment to gauge how someone will cope in the real world, with real stresses. Once he’s have done something that psychopathic he won’t just get well. He lived for about 40 years without doing it that time. The next won’t take as long. Hopefully he won’t live long enough to do it, again. He could snap and do this again, at any time. It’s unacceptable that they’d take such a risk. Not to mention four years isn’t justice of any kind. Her children had to grow up without a mother and, are still living without their mother. It’s not even the first time they’ve released a killer from hospital or prison they shouldn’t have.
These 3 were a piece of work! I believe the phrase "The Devil Made Me Do It" was a by line for all killers for a while. This is still some great stories. I really don't believe I've ever heard of them before. Great video. Stories kept me interested.

However, it’s pretty clear here that mental disorder was a much greater influence in these crimes than the devil.

When saying that the devil made you do it.....I'm asking was he holding a gun to your head at the time? No? Then he didn't make you do it. You chose. That's called temptation. When saying I was possessed by ____________.....I'm asking can you actually prove that? Do you at least have video of being possessed? No? Then you chose it. If you truly believe either of those....why aren't you still in an asylum? The justice system did that for you. Doesn't mean what you did was okay. And you need medication. If you don't truly believe either of those things but made the claim anyway.....then you are a liar and why should anyone believe you? What truly boggles my mind is how anyone even came up with such nonense. According to the Bible, Lucifer was the most beloved angel that God created, but he challenged the throne and given hell to rule over and to punish those souls that had committed evil acts. Why , then, do they fear him if they are a decent human being? They won't be punished. Why is he considered evil when he is punishing the evildoers? Seems to me, that makes him more like the warden in a prison, so not evil. Why do they believe that Lucifer is trying so hard to get them? There will never be a shortage of murders, thieves, liars, etc to keep him busy until our star explodes and everything is gone, so I don't think he'd bother coming topside just to tap people to suddenly start doing things because they aren't able to control it. If he is that powerful, then doesn't that make him a god, too? Congratulations! The narrator may have a reason why their speech is like that, that can’t be helped. My ex for example had soft palate repair as a child leaving him with a similar sounding voice. If it’s that difficult for you why don’t you piss off?
